我以为她放纵之后会回到我身边，她却执迷不悟。她不忠的妹妹犹大也看见了这事。

贵族派仆人去水池打水，仆人去那里发现没有水，就带着空瓶垂头丧气、羞愧难当地回去了。天不下雨，土地干裂，农夫沮丧地抱着头。

你吃，却吃不饱，仍然腹中空空。你聚敛钱财，却保不住。你保住的，我要交给拿刀的。

“贫穷困苦的人找不到水喝，他们口干舌燥。但我耶和华必应允他们的呼求，我——以色列的上帝不会撇弃他们。我要使光秃的山岭上江河奔流，山谷中泉水涌流；我要使沙漠变成水塘，使干地冒出泉水。

以色列人被自己的傲慢指控，他们却不归向他们的上帝耶和华，也不去寻求祂。

我也看见耶路撒冷的先知行为可恶，他们通奸，谎话连篇，怂恿恶人，以致无人悔过自新。在我眼中，耶路撒冷人就像所多玛人和蛾摩拉人一样败坏。
