我傾覆爾中之城邑、若上帝傾覆所多瑪蛾摩拉然、爾如燼木、得拔於火、然爾猶不歸我、耶和華言之矣、

耶和華又曰、昔我上帝傾圮所多馬蛾摩拉、爾中數人、亦遭隕越、其餘得救、如脫於火、爾尚不歸誠於我、

我於爾地傾覆城邑、與昔傾覆所多瑪、俄摩拉無異、使爾如片柴、拔於火中、爾猶不歸誠於我、此乃主所言、

“ I overthrew some of you as I overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. You were like a burning stick snatched from the fire, yet you have not returned to me,” declares the Lord.

“ I destroyed some of you, just as I did Sodom and Gomorrah. You were like a burning stick that was pulled out of the fire. In spite of that, you still have not returned to me,” announces the Lord.

“ I overthrew some of you, as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were as a brand plucked out of the burning; yet you did not return to me,” declares the Lord.

“ I destroyed some of your cities, as I destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Those of you who survived were like charred sticks pulled from a fire. But still you would not return to me,” says the Lord.

I overthrew some of you as I overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were like a burning stick snatched from a fire, yet you did not return to me— This is the LORD’s declaration.

“ I overthrew you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, And you were like a log snatched from a fire; Yet you have not returned to Me,” declares the Lord.

“ I overthrew some of you, As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, And you were like a firebrand plucked from the burning; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the Lord.

I have overthrown cities among you, as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a brand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.

I overthrew some of you as I overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were like a burning stick snatched from a fire, yet you did not return to Me— this is the Lord’s declaration.

“ I overthrew some of you the way God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. You were like a burning stick snatched from the flames. Still you did not come back to me.” The LORD is speaking!

“ I have overthrown some of you, as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were like a burning stick plucked out of the fire; yet you haven’t returned to me,” says Yahweh.

The Lord said to Satan,“ The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?” (niv)

Babylon, the jewel of kingdoms, the pride and glory of the Babylonians, will be overthrown by God like Sodom and Gomorrah. (niv)

Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah— from the Lord out of the heavens.Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, destroying all those living in the cities— and also the vegetation in the land. (niv)

And among the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen something horrible: They commit adultery and live a lie. They strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that not one of them turns from their wickedness. They are all like Sodom to me; the people of Jerusalem are like Gomorrah.” (niv)

“ I gave you empty stomachs in every city and lack of bread in every town, yet you have not returned to me,” declares the Lord. (niv)

save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear— hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh. (niv)

In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. (niv)

if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; (niv)

“ How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I treat you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboyim? My heart is changed within me; all my compassion is aroused. (niv)

If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved— even though only as one escaping through the flames. (niv)

The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood— idols that cannot see or hear or walk. (niv)

As Sodom and Gomorrah were overthrown, along with their neighboring towns,” says the Lord,“ so no one will live there; no people will dwell in it. (niv)

They are all hardened rebels, going about to slander. They are bronze and iron; they all act corruptly.The bellows blow fiercely to burn away the lead with fire, but the refining goes on in vain; the wicked are not purged out.They are called rejected silver, because the Lord has rejected them.” (niv)

Then the word of the Lord came to me:“ Son of man, the people of Israel have become dross to me; all of them are the copper, tin, iron and lead left inside a furnace. They are but the dross of silver.Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says:‘ Because you have all become dross, I will gather you into Jerusalem.As silver, copper, iron, lead and tin are gathered into a furnace to be melted with a fiery blast, so will I gather you in my anger and my wrath and put you inside the city and melt you.I will gather you and I will blow on you with my fiery wrath, and you will be melted inside her.As silver is melted in a furnace, so you will be melted inside her, and you will know that I the Lord have poured out my wrath on you.’” (niv)

“‘ Now your impurity is lewdness. Because I tried to cleanse you but you would not be cleansed from your impurity, you will not be clean again until my wrath against you has subsided. (niv)
