Peter got up and went with them. When he arrived, they led him to the room upstairs. And all the widows approached him, weeping and showing him the robes and clothes that Dorcas had made while she was with them.

So Peter got ready and went with them. When he arrived, they brought him into the room upstairs; and all the widows stood beside him, weeping and showing all the tunics and garments that Dorcas used to make while she was with them.

弟兄姊妹，關於安息的信徒，我不願意你們一無所知，免得你們像那些沒有盼望的人一樣悲傷。

豔麗是虛假的，美貌是短暫的，唯有敬畏耶和華的女子配得稱讚。願她享受自己的勞動成果，願她的事蹟使她在城門口受稱讚。

義人流芳於世，惡人名聲朽爛。

有些虔誠人將司提凡埋葬了，為他大聲痛哭。

倘若我見有人凍得要死，或有窮人衣不蔽體，卻沒有把我的羊毛給他們禦寒，以致他們向我道謝；

耶穌對他們說：「我跟你們在一起的時候曾經說過，摩西的律法書、先知的書以及詩篇裡有關我的記載都要應驗。」

彼得伸手扶她起來後，叫那些在外面等候的門徒和寡婦進來，把活過來的多加交給他們。

因為人只要按自己的能力甘心樂意地去做，必蒙上帝悅納，上帝不會強求人做無法做的事。

我和他們在一起的時候，靠著你賜給我的名保守他們，看顧他們。除了那個注定滅亡的人以外，他們一個也沒有滅亡，這是為了應驗聖經上的話。

因為你們身邊總會有窮人，可是你們身邊不會總有我。

在我們的父上帝面前不斷地想到你們因信我們主耶穌基督而做的工作、因愛祂而受的勞苦和因祂所賜的盼望而激發的忍耐。

在約帕有個樂善好施的女信徒名叫戴碧達，希臘話叫多加，意思是「羚羊」。當時，她患病死了。有人將她的屍體洗乾淨後，停放在樓上。

她做了自己能做的。她是為我的安葬做準備，提前用香膏抹了我的身體。

那時，門徒的人數與日俱增。當中有些講希臘話的猶太人埋怨講希伯來話的猶太人，說對方在日常分配食物的事上怠慢了他們的寡婦。

如果有弟兄姊妹缺衣少食，你們只是對他們說：「安心走吧，願你們穿得暖，吃得飽」，卻不幫助他解決實際困難，這有什麼用呢？因此，信心若沒有行為，就是死的。

耶穌說：「唉！這世代又不信又敗壞的人啊，我要跟你們在一起待多久？我要容忍你們多久呢？把他帶來吧。」

「以色列的女子啊，為掃羅哀哭吧！他曾使你們衣服華美，穿金戴銀。

從前偷竊的要改過自新，自食其力，做正當事，以便能夠分給有需要的人。

我赤身露體時，你們給我穿的；我生病時，你們照顧我；我坐牢時，你們來看我。』「那些義人會回答說，『主啊！我們什麼時候見你餓了就給你吃的？見你渴了就給你喝的？見你身在異鄉就接待你？見你赤身露體就給你穿的呢？我們又什麼時候見你生病或坐牢，就去看你呢？』

因為你們身邊總會有窮人，可是你們身邊不會總有我。」

我凡事以身作則，教導你們勤奮工作，幫助軟弱的人，並牢記主耶穌的話，『施比受更有福。』」

所以，孩子們啊，不要單在口頭上說愛人，總要以真誠的行動表現出來。

凡你的手能做的，都要盡力去做，因為在你要去的陰間沒有工作，沒有計劃，也沒有知識和智慧。
