But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus.

But Barnabas took him to the apostles. He told them about Saul’s journey. He said that Saul had seen the Lord. He told how the Lord had spoken to Saul. Barnabas also said that Saul had preached without fear in Jesus’ name in Damascus.

有一個利未人，生在塞浦路斯，名叫約瑟，使徒稱他為巴拿巴（巴拿巴翻出來就是勸慰子）。

他們恐嚇我們，現在求主鑒察，一面叫你僕人大放膽量講你的道，一面伸出你的手來醫治疾病，並且使神蹟奇事因着你聖僕耶穌的名行出來。」

他們見彼得、約翰的膽量，又看出他們原是沒有學問的小民，就希奇，認明他們是跟過耶穌的；

過了三年，才上耶路撒冷去見磯法，和他同住了十五天。至於別的使徒，除了主的兄弟雅各，我都沒有看見。

他又往大數去找掃羅，

所以，我們同心定意，揀選幾個人，差他們同我們所親愛的巴拿巴和保羅往你們那裏去。這二人是為我主耶穌基督的名不顧性命的。

掃羅行路，將到大馬士革，忽然從天上發光，四面照着他；他就仆倒在地，聽見有聲音對他說：「掃羅！掃羅！你為甚麼逼迫我？」他說：「主啊！你是誰？」主說：「我就是你所逼迫的耶穌。起來！進城去，你所當做的事，必有人告訴你。」

亞拿尼亞就去了，進入那家，把手按在掃羅身上，說：「兄弟掃羅，在你來的路上向你顯現的主，就是耶穌，打發我來，叫你能看見，又被聖靈充滿。」

這風聲傳到耶路撒冷教會人的耳中，他們就打發巴拿巴出去，走到安提阿為止。

就在各會堂裏宣傳耶穌，說他是神的兒子。凡聽見的人都驚奇，說：「在耶路撒冷殘害求告這名的，不是這人嗎？並且他到這裏來，特要捆綁他們，帶到祭司長那裏。」但掃羅越發有能力，駁倒住大馬士革的猶太人，證明耶穌是基督。

保羅、巴拿巴與他們大大地紛爭辯論；眾門徒就定規，叫保羅、巴拿巴和本會中幾個人，為所辯論的，上耶路撒冷去見使徒和長老。

巴拿巴和掃羅辦完了他們供給的事，就從耶路撒冷回來，帶着稱呼馬可的約翰同去。

但保羅和巴拿巴仍住在安提阿，和許多別人一同教訓人，傳主的道。過了些日子，保羅對巴拿巴說：「我們可以回到從前宣傳主道的各城，看望弟兄們景況如何。」巴拿巴有意要帶稱呼馬可的約翰同去；但保羅因為馬可從前在旁非利亞離開他們，不和他們同去做工，就以為不可帶他去。於是二人起了爭論，甚至彼此分開。巴拿巴帶着馬可，坐船往塞浦路斯去；

他們事奉主、禁食的時候，聖靈說：「要為我分派巴拿巴和掃羅，去做我召他們所做的工。」

也為我祈求，使我得着口才，能以放膽開口講明福音的奧祕，（我為這福音的奧祕作了帶鎖鍊的使者，）並使我照着當盡的本分放膽講論。

其餘的猶太人也都隨着他裝假，甚至連巴拿巴也隨夥裝假。

又知道所賜給我的恩典，那稱為教會柱石的雅各、磯法、約翰，就向我和巴拿巴用右手行相交之禮，叫我們往外邦人那裏去，他們往受割禮的人那裏去。

獨有我與巴拿巴沒有權柄不做工嗎？

末了也顯給我看；我如同未到產期而生的人一般。
