But all who heard him were astounded and said,“ Isn’t this the man who, in Jerusalem, was destroying those who called on this name and then came here for the purpose of taking them as prisoners to the chief priests?”

凡听见的人都惊奇，说：“在耶路撒冷残害求告这名的，不是这人吗？并且他到这里来，特要捆绑他们，带到祭司长那里。”

听的人都大吃一惊，说：“他不就是那在耶路撒冷迫害信徒的人吗？他到这里来不是要把大马士革的信徒押去见祭司长吗？”

听见的人都很惊奇，说：“在耶路撒冷残害求告这名的，不是这个人吗？他来这里不是要缉拿他们交给祭司长吗？”

所有听见的人都十分惊讶，说：“这不就是那个在耶路撒冷残害了那些求告这名的人吗？而且他来到这里，不就是为要捆绑他们，带到祭司长们那里吗？”

凡聽見的人都驚奇，說：「在耶路撒冷殘害求告這名的，不是這人嗎？並且他到這裏來，特要捆綁他們，帶到祭司長那裏。」

凡聽見的都驚奇說：『這個人豈不是那在耶路撒冷殘害呼求這名的麼？他到這裏來，豈不是要捆綁他們，帶到祭司長那裏麼？』

所有聽見的人都十分驚訝，說：「這不就是那個在耶路撒冷殘害了那些求告這名的人嗎？而且他來到這裡，不就是為要捆綁他們，帶到祭司長們那裡嗎？」

聞者皆驚異之、曰、此人非在耶路撒冷、殘害籲斯名者、且來此、欲繫之、解於祭司諸長乎、

眾聞、奇之曰、此非在耶路撒冷、殘賊凡籲斯名者乎、今至此、欲繫是徒、解祭司諸長歟、

凡聞之者、皆奇異曰、此人非在耶路撒冷殘害籲斯名者乎、今至此、非為縛之以解於祭司諸長乎、

聞者異曰『耶路撒冷殘害呼籲斯名者、非斯人乎？此來非欲網弋若輩、以解司祭長乎？』

All those who heard him were astonished and asked,“ Isn’t he the man who raised havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on this name? And hasn’t he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?”

All who heard him were amazed. They asked,“ Isn’t he the man who caused great trouble in Jerusalem? Didn’t he make trouble for those who worship Jesus? Hasn’t he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?”

And all who heard him were amazed and said,“ Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called upon this name? And has he not come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests?”

All who heard him were amazed.“ Isn’t this the same man who caused such devastation among Jesus’ followers in Jerusalem?” they asked.“ And didn’t he come here to arrest them and take them in chains to the leading priests?”

All who heard him were astounded and said,“ Isn’t this the man in Jerusalem who was causing havoc for those who called on this name and came here for the purpose of taking them as prisoners to the chief priests?”

All those hearing him continued to be amazed, and were saying,“ Is this not the one who in Jerusalem destroyed those who called on this name, and had come here for the purpose of bringing them bound before the chief priests?”

Then all who heard were amazed, and said,“ Is this not he who destroyed those who called on this name in Jerusalem, and has come here for that purpose, so that he might bring them bound to the chief priests?”

And all that heard him were amazed, and said, Is not this he that in Jerusalem made havoc of them that called on this name? and he had come hither for this intent, that he might bring them bound before the chief priests.

But all that heard[ him] were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?

All who heard him were amazed and were saying,“ Is this not the man who in Jerusalem was ravaging those who call on this name, and who had come here to bring them as prisoners to the chief priests?”

All who heard him were amazed, and said,“ Isn’t this he who in Jerusalem made havoc of those who called on this name? And he had come here intending to bring them bound before the chief priests!”

“ Lord,” Ananias answered,“ I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem.And he has authority here from the chief priests to arrest all who call on Your name.”

Saul, however, was ravaging the church. He would enter house after house, drag off men and women, and put them in prison.

and they recognized that he was the one who used to sit and beg at the Beautiful Gate of the temple complex. So they were filled with awe and astonishment at what had happened to him.

Here I am with the children the Lord has given me to be signs and wonders in Israel from the Lord of Hosts who dwells on Mount Zion.

Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord. He went to the high priestand requested letters from him to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any men or women who belonged to the Way, he might bring them as prisoners to Jerusalem.

They were all astounded and perplexed, saying to one another,“ What could this be?”

There is no magic curse against Jacob and no divination against Israel. It will now be said about Jacob and Israel,“ What great things God has done!”

God is my witness.Afterward, I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.I remained personally unknown to the Judean churches in Christ;they simply kept hearing:“ He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith he once tried to destroy.”And they glorified God because of me.

When this sound occurred, a crowd came together and was confused because each one heard them speaking in his own language.

They came to Jesus and saw the man who had been demon-possessed by the legion, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.The eyewitnesses described to them what had happened to the demon-possessed man and told about the pigs.Then they began to beg Him to leave their region.As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed kept begging Him to be with Him.But He would not let him; instead, He told him,“ Go back home to your own people, and report to them how much the Lord has done for you and how He has had mercy on you.”So he went out and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him, and they were all amazed.

in that day when He comes to be glorified by His saints and to be admired by all those who have believed, because our testimony among you was believed.

“ Listen, Joshua the high priest, you and your colleagues sitting before you; indeed, these men are a sign that I am about to bring My servant, the Branch.

Look at how great a love the Father has given us that we should be called God’s children. And we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it didn’t know Him.

He went to His hometown and began to teach them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said,“ How did this wisdom and these miracles come to Him?Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t His mother called Mary, and His brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas?

His neighbors and those who formerly had seen him as a beggar said,“ Isn’t this the man who sat begging?”Some said,“ He’s the one.”“ No,” others were saying,“ but he looks like him.” He kept saying,“ I’m the one!”

When they observed the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed and recognized that they had been with Jesus.

I have become an ominous sign to many, but You are my strong refuge.
