非斯都在耶路撒冷只逗留了十天八天，便返回了凯撒利亚。第二天，他开庭审讯，命人将保罗带上来。

彼得和约翰为主做见证，传讲主的道。之后，他们启程回耶路撒冷，沿途又在撒玛利亚各村庄传扬福音。

希律派人四处搜捕，一无所获，于是亲自审问看守彼得的卫兵，下令处决他们。后来希律离开犹太，下到凯撒利亚，并住在那里。

非斯都上任三天后，便从凯撒利亚启程上耶路撒冷。

混杂的种族必占领亚实突，我必铲除非利士人的骄傲。
