Howbeit the Most High dwelleth not in houses made with hands; as saith the prophet,

Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,

Thus saith Jehovah, Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what manner of house will ye build unto me? and what place shall be my rest?For all these things hath my hand made, and so all these things came to be, saith Jehovah: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and that trembleth at my word.

And the house which I build is great; for great is our God above all gods.But who is able to build him a house, seeing heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him a house, save only to burn incense before him?

The God that made the world and all things therein, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;neither is he served by men’s hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

But will God in very deed dwell on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded!

For thou, O Jehovah, art my refuge! Thou hast made the Most High thy habitation;

When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, When he separated the children of men, He set the bounds of the peoples According to the number of the children of Israel.

I will give thanks unto Jehovah according to his righteousness, And will sing praise to the name of Jehovah Most High.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

The sentence is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones; to the intent that the living may know that the Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the lowest of men.

this is the interpretation, O king, and it is the decree of the Most High, which is come upon my lord the king:that thou shalt be driven from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and thou shalt be made to eat grass as oxen, and shalt be wet with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee; till thou know that the Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have builded!

But thou, O Jehovah, art on high for evermore.

There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.

They return, but not to him that is on high; they are like a deceitful bow; their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.
