我民在伊及、我見其困苦、聞其歎息、故我降臨以救之、今爾來、我遣爾往伊及、

吾民在埃及備受酷虐、苦楚萬狀、余已目睹、並聞其呼籲與悲嗟之聲、故余乃降臨而振救之、使出於水火之中。來、余將遣汝仍返埃及。」

I have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free. Now come, I will send you back to Egypt.’

And the Lord said:“ I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”

Nevertheless He regarded their affliction, When He heard their cry;

Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them.

For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

And God said to Moses,“ I AM WHO I AM.” And He said,“ Thus you shall say to the children of Israel,‘ I AM has sent me to you.’”

“ You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, And heard their cry by the Red Sea.

I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.”

No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.

So the people believed; and when they heard that the Lord had visited the children of Israel and that He had looked on their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.

But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built.

And when the Lord raised up judges for them, the Lord was with the judge and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for the Lord was moved to pity by their groaning because of those who oppressed them and harassed them.

For He said,“ Surely they are My people, Children who will not lie.” So He became their Savior.In all their affliction He was afflicted, And the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried them All the days of old.

For I brought you up from the land of Egypt, I redeemed you from the house of bondage; And I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

And the children of Israel said to the Lord,“ We have sinned! Do to us whatever seems best to You; only deliver us this day, we pray.”So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the Lord. And His soul could no longer endure the misery of Israel.

And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant.Therefore say to the children of Israel:‘ I am the Lord; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.

He sent Moses His servant, And Aaron whom He had chosen.

By a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, And by a prophet he was preserved.

Bow down Your heavens, O Lord, and come down; Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.

Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down! That the mountains might shake at Your presence—

Then I will come down and talk with you there. I will take of the Spirit that is upon you and will put the same upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you may not bear it yourself alone.

Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”
