“ When Moses was forty years old, he decided to visit his own people, the Israelites.

行年四十、乃念義塞為其同宗、故欲一訪其國人。

“ When Moses was 40 years old, he decided to visit the people of Israel. They were his own people.

“ When he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brothers, the children of Israel.

“ One day when Moses was forty years old, he decided to visit his relatives, the people of Israel.

“ When he was forty years old, he decided to visit his own people, the Israelites.

But when he was approaching the age of forty, it entered his mind to visit his countrymen, the sons of Israel.

“ Now when he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren, the children of Israel.

But when he was well- nigh forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.

“ As he was approaching the age of 40, he decided to visit his brothers, the Israelites.

And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.

But when he was about forty years old, it entered his mind to visit his fellow countrymen the Israelites.

But when he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brothers, the children of Israel.

By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin.He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.

One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own people were and watched them at their hard labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people.Looking this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.

Also in Judah the hand of God was on the people to give them unity of mind to carry out what the king and his officials had ordered, following the word of the Lord.

In the Lord’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him.

For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to hand over to the beast their royal authority, until God’s words are fulfilled.

Then Moses went back to Jethro his father- in- law and said to him,“ Let me return to my own people in Egypt to see if any of them are still alive.” Jethro said,“ Go, and I wish you well.”

In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah, the Lord moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and also to put it in writing:

Then the family heads of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and Levites— everyone whose heart God had moved— prepared to go up and build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed— not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence— continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.

Thanks be to God, who put into the heart of Titus the same concern I have for you.

Some time later Paul said to Barnabas,“ Let us go back and visit the believers in all the towns where we preached the word of the Lord and see how they are doing.”

Praise be to the Lord, the God of our ancestors, who has put it into the king’s heart to bring honor to the house of the Lord in Jerusalem in this way

and everyone who was willing and whose heart moved them came and brought an offering to the Lord for the work on the tent of meeting, for all its service, and for the sacred garments.

All the Israelite men and women who were willing brought to the Lord freewill offerings for all the work the Lord through Moses had commanded them to do.

I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things I have given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you.Lord, the God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac and Israel, keep these desires and thoughts in the hearts of your people forever, and keep their hearts loyal to you.And give my son Solomon the wholehearted devotion to keep your commands, statutes and decrees and to do everything to build the palatial structure for which I have provided.”
