At this point everyone in the high council stared at Stephen, because his face became as bright as an angel’s.

And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as the face of an angel.

And all that sat in the council, fastening their eyes on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.

And all who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at him and saw that his face was like the face of an angel.

Who is a wise person? Who knows the solution to a problem? A person’s wisdom brightens his appearance, and softens his harsh countenance.

But if the ministry that produced death– carved in letters on stone tablets– came with glory, so that the Israelites could not keep their eyes fixed on the face of Moses because of the glory of his face( a glory which was made ineffective),how much more glorious will the ministry of the Spirit be?

Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. The one who has ears had better listen!

And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, which is from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Now when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand– when he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to approach him.But Moses called to them, so Aaron and all the leaders of the community came back to him, and Moses spoke to them.After this all the Israelites approached, and he commanded them all that the LORD had spoken to him on Mount Sinai.When Moses finished speaking with them, he would put a veil on his face.But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he would remove the veil until he came out. Then he would come out and tell the Israelites what he had been commanded.When the Israelites would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone, Moses would put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with the LORD.

And he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light.

But I say to you that anyone who is angry with a brother will be subjected to judgment. And whoever insults a brother will be brought before the council, and whoever says‘ Fool’ will be sent to fiery hell.
