望爾等切莫受人之愚也。彼日之來、必先有反教背主之事、又有元惡大憝、淪亡之子、先行顯露、反抗基督、妄自尊大、目中不復有所謂天主或可敬者、彼且坐於天主聖殿、而自炫其為天主焉。曩者予在爾中時、曾以此事相告、爾等豈已忘懷乎？爾等亦知彼在目前、尚有所阻；如屆其時、則面目畢露。蓋其不法之隱圖、已在醞釀、惟尚有為之阻礙者、故其一時未能遽發；一俟阻礙見除、

且必有多人與之推波助瀾、同流合污、以致真諦妙道、因斯輩之故、為世詬病。

如此方能成全基督之道。若無而為有、虛而為實、是為欺心之人。

此輩怨天尤人、牢騷滿腹、所行惟殉私欲、所言皆屬荒誕、阿諛諂媚、惟利是圖。

人若告爾、「基督在曠野、」勿出；「基督在密室、」勿信。

然吾人屹然不搖、未嘗於須臾之間、受其羈縻；此亦所以使福音之真傳、長存爾中、始終不渝耳。至於眾望所歸之同人、予亦未因其聲價之特殊、而另眼相看。夫人之貴賤、於天主乎何有？實則彼等於予亦未有所增；
