对他说，万军之耶和华如此说：‘看哪，那名称为大卫苗裔的，要在本处生长，并要建造耶和华的殿。就是他，要建造耶和华的殿，他要承受尊荣，坐在位上掌王权；又有一位祭司坐在自己的位上，两职之间筹划和平。

耶稣又说：“我们可用什么来比拟神的国呢？可用什么比喻来说明呢？它像一粒芥菜种，种在地里的时候，虽比地上所有的种子都小，但种下去以后，它长起来，比各样的菜都大，又长出大枝，以致天上的飞鸟可以在它的荫下筑巢。”

祭司长和法利赛人召开议会，说：“这人行好些神迹，我们怎么办呢？若让他这样做，人人都要信他；罗马人也要来毁灭我们的圣殿和我们的民族。”

当诸王在位的时候，天上的神必另立一个永不败坏的国度，这国度必不归给其他百姓，却要打碎灭绝所有的国度，存立到永远。你既看见非人手凿出来的一块石头从山而出，打碎铁、铜、泥、银、金，那就是至大的神把将来要发生的事给王指明。这梦是确实的，这解释也是准确的。”

他去跟祭司长和守殿官商量怎样把耶稣交给他们。

说：“我们当怎样办这两个人呢？因为他们诚然行了一件明显的神迹，凡住在耶路撒冷的人都知道，我们也不能否认。但为避免这事越发在民间传扬，我们必须威吓他们，叫他们不可再奉这名对任何人讲论。”

法利赛人彼此说：“你们看，你们一事无成，世人都随着他去了。”

你正观看，见有一块非人手凿出来的石头打在它半铁半泥的脚上，把脚砸碎；于是铁、泥、铜、银、金都一同砸得粉碎，如夏天禾场上的糠秕，被风吹散，无处可寻。打碎这像的石头成了一座大山，覆盖全地。

耶稣对那些来抓他的祭司长、守殿官和长老说：“你们带着刀棒出来，如同对付强盗吗？

官长为百姓的缘故，想不出任何法子惩罚他们，只好威吓一番就把他们释放了；这是因众人为了所行的奇事都归荣耀与神。
