眾皆揚聲讚頌上主曰：『主！爾立天地、作江海、締造萬物、

因為六日之內，耶和華造天、地、海，和其中的萬物，第七日便安息，所以耶和華賜福與安息日，定為聖日。

「主耶和華啊，你曾用大能和伸出來的膀臂創造天地，在你沒有難成的事。

「你，惟獨你是耶和華！你造了天和天上的天，並天上的萬象，地和地上的萬物，海和海中所有的；這一切都是你所保存的。天軍也都敬拜你。

要常常喜樂，不住地禱告，凡事謝恩；因為這是神在基督耶穌裏向你們所定的旨意。

惟有主站在我旁邊，加給我力量，使福音被我盡都傳明，叫外邦人都聽見；我也從獅子口裏被救出來。主必救我脫離諸般的凶惡，也必救我進他的天國。願榮耀歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們。

弟兄們，我們不要你們不曉得，我們從前在亞細亞遭遇苦難，被壓太重，力不能勝，甚至連活命的指望都絕了；自己心裏也斷定是必死的，叫我們不靠自己，只靠叫死人復活的神。他曾救我們脫離那極大的死亡，現在仍要救我們，並且我們指望他將來還要救我們。你們以祈禱幫助我們，好叫許多人為我們謝恩，就是為我們因許多人所得的恩。

以雅各的神為幫助、仰望耶和華－他神的，這人便為有福！耶和華造天、地、海，和其中的萬物；他守誠實，直到永遠。

我的心哪，你當默默無聲，專等候神，因為我的盼望是從他而來。惟獨他是我的磐石，我的拯救；他是我的高臺，我必不動搖。我的拯救、我的榮耀都在乎神；我力量的磐石、我的避難所都在乎神。你們眾民當時時倚靠他，在他面前傾心吐意；神是我們的避難所。（細拉）

希西家向耶和華禱告說：「坐在二基路伯上耶和華－以色列的神啊，你是天下萬國的神，你曾創造天地。

你們要向耶和華唱歌；讚美耶和華！因他救了窮人的性命脫離惡人的手。

惟耶和華是真神，是活神，是永遠的王。他一發怒，大地震動；他一惱恨，列國都擔當不起。（你們要對他們如此說：不是那創造天地的神，必從地上從天下被除滅！）耶和華用能力創造大地，用智慧建立世界，用聰明鋪張穹蒼。

惟有我，是安慰你們的。你是誰，竟怕那必死的人？怕那要變如草的世人？

至於我，我要求告神；耶和華必拯救我。我要晚上、早晨、晌午哀聲悲歎；他也必聽我的聲音。他救贖我命脫離攻擊我的人，使我得享平安，因為與我相爭的人甚多。

耶和華－我們的神啊，現在求你救我們脫離亞述王的手，使天下萬國都知道惟獨你－耶和華是神！」

他們就滿心大怒，彼此商議怎樣處治耶穌。那時，耶穌出去，上山禱告，整夜禱告神；

但我是困苦憂傷的；神啊，願你的救恩將我安置在高處。我要以詩歌讚美神的名，以感謝稱他為大！

願我的對頭披戴羞辱！願他們以自己的羞愧為外袍遮身！我要用口極力稱謝耶和華；我要在眾人中間讚美他；因為他必站在窮乏人的右邊，要救他脫離審判他靈魂的人。

約在半夜，保羅和西拉禱告，唱詩讚美神，眾囚犯也側耳而聽。
