可是彼得和約翰回答說：「聽從你們過於聽從神，在神面前是理所當然的嗎？你們自己判斷吧！

彼得約翰曰、聽爾曹、過於聽上帝、在上帝前為義否、爾其審之、

彼得約翰曰、聽爾曹、而過於聽上帝、在上帝前、義乎、爾自審焉、

彼得約翰曰、聽爾曹過於聽天主、在天主前義否、爾自審之、

伯鐸祿若望曰：『順爾旨而背天主、爾自分於理有當否？

But Peter and John replied,“ Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges!

But Peter and John answered them,“ Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge,

But Peter and the apostles replied,“ We must obey God rather than people.

But the midwives feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them; they let the boys live.

I am speaking to thoughtful people. Consider what I say.

But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we don’t serve your gods, and we will not pay homage to the golden statue that you have erected.”

Such prayer for all is good and welcomed before God our Savior,

When Daniel realized that a written decree had been issued, he entered his home, where the windows in his upper room opened toward Jerusalem. Three times daily he was kneeling and offering prayers and thanks to his God just as he had been accustomed to do previously.

But we have rejected shameful hidden deeds, not behaving with deceptiveness or distorting the word of God, but by open proclamation of the truth we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience before God.

King Ahaz ordered Uriah the priest,“ On the large altar offer the morning burnt sacrifice, the evening grain offering, the royal burnt sacrifices and grain offering, the burnt sacrifice for all the people of Israel, their grain offering, and their libations. Sprinkle all the blood of the burnt sacrifice and other sacrifices on it. The bronze altar will be for my personal use.”

But once he became powerful, his pride destroyed him. He disobeyed the LORD his God. He entered the LORD’s temple to offer incense on the incense altar.Azariah the priest and eighty other brave priests of the LORD followed him in.They confronted King Uzziah and said to him,“ It is not proper for you, Uzziah, to offer incense to the LORD. That is the responsibility of the priests, the descendants of Aaron, who are consecrated to offer incense. Leave the sanctuary, for you have disobeyed and the LORD God will not honor you!”Uzziah, who had an incense censer in his hand, became angry. While he was ranting and raving at the priests, a skin disease appeared on his forehead right there in front of the priests in the LORD’s temple near the incense altar.When Azariah the high priest and the other priests looked at him, there was a skin disease on his forehead. They hurried him out of there; even the king himself wanted to leave quickly because the LORD had afflicted him.

Do not judge according to external appearance, but judge with proper judgment.”

You implement the regulations of Omri, and all the practices of Ahab’s dynasty; you follow their policies. Therefore I will make you an appalling sight, the city’s inhabitants will be taunted derisively, and nations will mock all of you.”

Do you rulers really pronounce just decisions? Do you judge people fairly?

They replied,“ Caesar’s.” He said to them,“ Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Ephraim will be oppressed, crushed under judgment, because he was determined to pursue worthless idols.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is right.

But Micaiah said,“ As certainly as the LORD lives, I will say what the LORD tells me to say.”

He will hand Israel over to their enemies because of the sins which Jeroboam committed and which he made Israel commit.”

By faith, when Moses was born, his parents hid him for three months, because they saw the child was beautiful and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.

One of the beast’s heads appeared to have been killed, but the lethal wound had been healed. And the whole world followed the beast in amazement;they worshiped the dragon because he had given ruling authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast too, saying:“ Who is like the beast?” and“ Who is able to make war against him?”The beast was given a mouth speaking proud words and blasphemies, and he was permitted to exercise ruling authority for forty- two months.So the beast opened his mouth to blaspheme against God– to blaspheme both his name and his dwelling place, that is, those who dwell in heaven.The beast was permitted to go to war against the saints and conquer them. He was given ruling authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation,and all those who live on the earth will worship the beast, everyone whose name has not been written since the foundation of the world in the book of life belonging to the Lamb who was killed.If anyone has an ear, he had better listen!If anyone is meant for captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed by the sword, then by the sword he must be killed. This requires steadfast endurance and faith from the saints.

A third angel followed the first two, declaring in a loud voice:“ If anyone worships the beast and his image, and takes the mark on his forehead or his hand,that person will also drink of the wine of God’s anger that has been mixed undiluted in the cup of his wrath, and he will be tortured with fire and sulfur in front of the holy angels and in front of the Lamb.And the smoke from their torture will go up forever and ever, and those who worship the beast and his image will have no rest day or night, along with anyone who receives the mark of his name.”This requires the steadfast endurance of the saints– those who obey God’s commandments and hold to their faith in Jesus.

This caused Israel to sin; the people went to Bethel and Dan to worship the calves.

The men of the city, the leaders and the nobles who lived there, followed the written orders Jezebel had sent them.

So now listen to the LORD’s message! You say,‘ Don’t prophesy against Israel! Don’t preach against the family of Isaac!’

If so, have you not made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil motives?
