但是彼得約翰卻回答他們說：『聽你們、過於聽上帝，這在上帝面前對不對，你們自己判斷吧。

可是彼得和約翰回答說：「聽從你們過於聽從神，在神面前是理所當然的嗎？你們自己判斷吧！

彼得約翰曰、聽爾曹、過於聽上帝、在上帝前為義否、爾其審之、

彼得約翰曰、聽爾曹、而過於聽上帝、在上帝前、義乎、爾自審焉、

彼得約翰曰、聽爾曹過於聽天主、在天主前義否、爾自審之、

伯鐸祿若望曰：『順爾旨而背天主、爾自分於理有當否？

But Peter and John replied,“ Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges!

But Peter and John replied,“ Which is right from God’s point of view? Should we listen to you? Or should we listen to God? You be the judges!

But Peter and John answered them,“ Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge,

But Peter and John replied,“ Whether it is right before God to obey you rather than God, you decide,

But Peter and John answered them,“ Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, judge for yourselves,

But Peter and the apostles answered,“ We must obey God rather than men.

But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt had commanded them, but let the boys live.

I speak as to wise people; you then, judge what I say.

But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods nor worship the golden statue that you have set up.”

This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,

Now when Daniel learned that the document was signed, he entered his house( and in his roof chamber he had windows open toward Jerusalem); and he continued kneeling on his knees three times a day, praying and offering praise before his God, just as he had been doing previously.

but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in trickery nor distorting the word of God, but by the open proclamation of the truth commending ourselves to every person’s conscience in the sight of God.

Do not judge by the outward appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints.

Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice,“ If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand,he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

So the men of his city, the elders and the nobles who lived in his city, did just as Jezebel had sent word to them, just as it was written in the letters which she had sent them.

have you not made distinctions among yourselves, and become judges with evil motives?
