Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land;but if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured with the sword; for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken it.”

and to give relief to you who are afflicted with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,

if they return to you with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies, who carried them captive, and pray to you toward their land, which you gave to their fathers, the city which you have chosen, and the house which I have built for your name;then hear their prayer and their supplication in heaven, your dwelling place, and maintain their cause;and forgive your people who have sinned against you, and all their transgressions in which they have transgressed against you; and give them compassion before those who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them

This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.It shall happen in the latter days, that the mountain of Yahweh’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.Many peoples shall go and say,“ Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the law shall go out of Zion, and Yahweh’s word from Jerusalem.

Seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call on him while he is near.Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon.

“ Sing, barren, you who didn’t give birth; break out into singing, and cry aloud, you who didn’t travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife,” says Yahweh.“ Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your habitations; don’t spare: lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.For you will spread out on the right hand and on the left; and your offspring will possess the nations and settle in desolate cities.“ Don’t be afraid, for you will not be ashamed. Don’t be confounded, for you will not be disappointed. For you will forget the shame of your youth. You will remember the reproach of your widowhood no more.For your Maker is your husband; Yahweh of Armies is his name. The Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer. He will be called the God of the whole earth.For Yahweh has called you as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off,” says your God.“ For a small moment I have forsaken you, but I will gather you with great mercies.In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting loving kindness I will have mercy on you,” says Yahweh your Redeemer.“ For this is like the waters of Noah to me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah will no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my loving kindness will not depart from you, and my covenant of peace will not be removed,” says Yahweh who has mercy on you.“ You afflicted, tossed with storms, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in beautiful colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires.I will make your pinnacles of rubies, your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones.All your children will be taught by Yahweh; and your children’s peace will be great.You will be established in righteousness. You will be far from oppression, for you will not be afraid, and far from terror, for it shall not come near you.

Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn’t retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness.He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities under foot; and you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

He will come down like rain on the mown grass, as showers that water the earth.In his days, the righteous shall flourish, and abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, from the River to the ends of the earth.Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him. His enemies shall lick the dust.The kings of Tarshish and of the islands will bring tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.Yes, all kings shall fall down before him. All nations shall serve him.For he will deliver the needy when he cries; the poor, who has no helper.He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy.He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. Their blood will be precious in his sight.They shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba. Men shall pray for him continually. They shall bless him all day long.Abundance of grain shall be throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field.His name endures forever. His name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed.Praise be to Yahweh God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.Blessed be his glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and amen.

Tear your heart, and not your garments, and turn to Yahweh, your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and relents from sending calamity.

Take words with you, and return to Yahweh. Tell him,“ Forgive all our sins, and accept that which is good: so we offer our lips like bulls.

Make the heart of this people fat. Make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and turn again, and be healed.”

“ I have surely heard Ephraim grieving thus,‘ You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as an untrained calf. Turn me, and I will be turned; for you are Yahweh my God.Surely after that I was turned. I repented. After that I was instructed. I struck my thigh. I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.’Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he a darling child? For as often as I speak against him, I still earnestly remember him. therefore my heart yearns for him. I will surely have mercy on him,” says Yahweh.

For you were going astray like sheep; but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock of your heritage, who dwell by themselves in a forest, in the middle of fertile pasture land, let them feed; in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.“ As in the days of your coming out of the land of Egypt, I will show them marvelous things.”

They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun strike them: for he who has mercy on them will lead them. He will guide them by springs of water.I will make all my mountains a road, and my highways shall be exalted.Behold, these shall come from afar, and behold, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.”Sing, heavens, and be joyful, earth! Break out into singing, mountains, for Yahweh has comforted his people, and will have compassion on his afflicted.But Zion said,“ Yahweh has forsaken me, and the Lord has forgotten me.”“ Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you!Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands. Your walls are continually before me.Your children hurry. Your destroyers and those who devastated you will leave you.Lift up your eyes all around, and see: all these gather themselves together, and come to you. As I live,” says Yahweh,“ you shall surely clothe yourself with them all as with an ornament, and dress yourself with them, like a bride.“ For, as for your waste and your desolate places, and your land that has been destroyed, surely now that land will be too small for the inhabitants, and those who swallowed you up will be far away.The children of your bereavement will say in your ears,‘ This place is too small for me. Give me a place to live in.’Then you will say in your heart,‘ Who has conceived these for me, since I have been bereaved of my children and am alone, an exile, and wandering back and forth? Who has brought these up? Behold, I was left alone. Where were these?’”The Lord Yahweh says,“ Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations, and lift up my banner to the peoples. They shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.

“ For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things will not be remembered, nor come into mind.But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for, behold, I create Jerusalem to be a delight, and her people a joy.I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and delight in my people; and the voice of weeping and the voice of crying will be heard in her no more.“ No more will there be an infant who only lives a few days, nor an old man who has not filled his days; for the child will die one hundred years old, and the sinner being one hundred years old will be accursed.They will build houses and inhabit them. They will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.They will not build and another inhabit. They will not plant and another eat: for the days of my people will be like the days of a tree, and my chosen will long enjoy the work of their hands.They will not labor in vain nor give birth for calamity; for they are the offspring of Yahweh’s blessed and their descendants with them.It will happen that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.The wolf and the lamb will feed together. The lion will eat straw like the ox. Dust will be the serpent’s food. They will not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain,” says Yahweh.

Sing to Yahweh a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.Yahweh has made known his salvation. He has openly shown his righteousness in the sight of the nations.He has remembered his loving kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.Make a joyful noise to Yahweh, all the earth! Burst out and sing for joy, yes, sing praises!Sing praises to Yahweh with the harp, with the harp and the voice of melody.With trumpets and sound of the ram’s horn, make a joyful noise before the King, Yahweh.Let the sea roar with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell therein.Let the rivers clap their hands. Let the mountains sing for joy together.Let them sing before Yahweh, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

Sing, daughter of Zion! Shout, Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, daughter of Jerusalem.Yahweh has taken away your judgments. He has thrown out your enemy. The King of Israel, Yahweh, is among you. You will not be afraid of evil any more.In that day, it will be said to Jerusalem,“ Don’t be afraid, Zion. Don’t let your hands be weak.”Yahweh, your God, is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing.I will remove those who grieve about the appointed feasts from you. They are a burden and a reproach to you.Behold, at that time I will deal with all those who afflict you, and I will save those who are lame, and gather those who were driven away. I will give them praise and honor, whose shame has been in all the earth.At that time I will bring you in, and at that time I will gather you; for I will give you honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I restore your fortunes before your eyes, says Yahweh.

But don’t forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

“ Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh,“ that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the one treading grapes him who sows seed; and sweet wine will drip from the mountains, and flow from the hills.I will bring my people Israel back from captivity, and they will rebuild the ruined cities, and inhabit them; and they will plant vineyards, and drink wine from them. They shall also make gardens, and eat their fruit.I will plant them on their land, and they will no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them,” says Yahweh your God.

when he comes in that day to be glorified in his saints and to be admired among all those who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.

Their offspring will be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge them, that they are the offspring which Yahweh has blessed.”I will greatly rejoice in Yahweh! My soul will be joyful in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.For as the earth produces its bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring up, so the Lord Yahweh will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.For Zion’s sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness shines out like the dawn, and her salvation like a burning lamp.The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory. You will be called by a new name, which Yahweh’s mouth will name.You will also be a crown of beauty in Yahweh‘ s hand, and a royal diadem in your God’s hand.You will not be called Forsaken any more, nor will your land be called Desolate any more; but you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for Yahweh delights in you, and your land will be married.For as a young man marries a virgin, so your sons will marry you. As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so your God will rejoice over you.

“ Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries where I have driven them in my anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation; and I will bring them again to this place. I will cause them to dwell safely.Then they will be my people, and I will be their God.I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their good, and the good of their children after them.I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good. I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me.Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul.”

to provide for those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, that he may be glorified.

When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying,“ Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life!”

How long will you go here and there, you backsliding daughter? For Yahweh has created a new thing in the earth: a woman will encompass a man.”Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says:“ Yet again they will use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I reverse their captivity:‘ Yahweh bless you, habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness.’Judah and all its cities will dwell therein together, the farmers, and those who go about with flocks.For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.”On this I awakened, and saw; and my sleep was sweet to me.

Turn us to yourself, Yahweh, and we will be turned. Renew our days as of old.

As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil has come on us. Yet we have not entreated the favor of Yahweh our God, that we should turn from our iniquities and have discernment in your truth.

For I don’t desire you to be ignorant, brothers, of this mystery, so that you won’t be wise in your own conceits, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in,

whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke long ago by the mouth of his holy prophets.

“ In those days and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David. He will execute justice and righteousness in the land.In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will dwell safely. This is the name by which she will be called: Yahweh our righteousness.”For Yahweh says:“ David will never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel.The Levitical priests won’t lack a man before me to offer burnt offerings, to burn meal offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.”Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,“ Yahweh says:‘ If you can break my covenant of the day and my covenant of the night, so that there will not be day and night in their time;then may my covenant also be broken with David my servant, that he won’t have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.As the army of the sky can’t be counted, and the sand of the sea can’t be measured; so I will multiply the offspring of David my servant and the Levites who minister to me.’”Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,“ Don’t consider what this people has spoken, saying,‘ Has Yahweh cast off the two families which he chose?’ Thus they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.”Yahweh says:“ If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;then I will also cast away the offspring of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his offspring to be rulers over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to be reversed and will have mercy on them.”

Awake, awake! Put on your strength, Zion. Put on your beautiful garments, Jerusalem, the holy city: for from now on the uncircumcised and the unclean will no more come into you.Shake yourself from the dust! Arise, sit up, Jerusalem! Release yourself from the bonds of your neck, captive daughter of Zion!For Yahweh says,“ You were sold for nothing; and you will be redeemed without money.”For the Lord Yahweh says:“ My people went down at the first into Egypt to live there: and the Assyrian has oppressed them without cause.“ Now therefore, what do I do here,” says Yahweh,“ seeing that my people are taken away for nothing? Those who rule over them mock,” says Yahweh,“ and my name is blasphemed continually all day long.Therefore my people shall know my name. Therefore they shall know in that day that I am he who speaks. Behold, it is I.”How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion,“ Your God reigns!”Your watchmen lift up their voice. Together they sing; for they shall see eye to eye when Yahweh returns to Zion.Break out into joy! Sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem; for Yahweh has comforted his people. He has redeemed Jerusalem.Yahweh has made his holy arm bare in the eyes of all the nations. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

In those days, and in that time,” says Yahweh,“ the iniquity of Israel will be sought for, and there will be none; also the sins of Judah, and they won’t be found; for I will pardon them whom I leave as a remnant.

Yahweh of Armies says:“ Many peoples, and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come;and the inhabitants of one shall go to another, saying,‘ Let’s go speedily to entreat the favor of Yahweh, and to seek Yahweh of Armies. I will go also.’Yes, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek Yahweh of Armies in Jerusalem, and to entreat the favor of Yahweh.”Yahweh of Armies says:“ In those days, ten men will take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying,‘ We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’”

Yahweh will roar from Zion, and thunder from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth will shake; but Yahweh will be a refuge to his people, and a stronghold to the children of Israel.“ So you will know that I am Yahweh, your God, dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain. Then Jerusalem will be holy, and no strangers will pass through her any more.It will happen in that day, that the mountains will drop down sweet wine, the hills will flow with milk, all the brooks of Judah will flow with waters, and a fountain will flow out from Yahweh’s house, and will water the valley of Shittim.Egypt will be a desolation, and Edom will be a desolate wilderness, for the violence done to the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.But Judah will be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.I will cleanse their blood, that I have not cleansed: for Yahweh dwells in Zion.”

Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is covered.Blessed is the man to whom Yahweh doesn’t impute iniquity, in whose spirit there is no deceit.When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. Selah.I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

I will betroth you to me forever. Yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness, in justice, in loving kindness, and in compassion.I will even betroth you to me in faithfulness; and you shall know Yahweh.It will happen in that day, I will respond,” says Yahweh,“ I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth;and the earth will respond to the grain, and the new wine, and the oil; and they will respond to Jezreel.I will sow her to me in the earth; and I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; and I will tell those who were not my people,‘ You are my people;’ and they will say,‘ My God!’”

But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you shall find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.When you are in oppression, and all these things have come on you, in the latter days you shall return to Yahweh your God and listen to his voice.For Yahweh your God is a merciful God. He will not fail you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them.

They, being sent on their way by the assembly, passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles. They caused great joy to all the brothers.

Those ransomed by Yahweh will return, and come with singing to Zion. Everlasting joy shall be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy. Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

“ Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all you who love her. Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn over her;that you may nurse and be satisfied at the comforting breasts; that you may drink deeply, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.”For Yahweh says,“ Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream; and you will nurse. You will be carried on her side, and will be dandled on her knees.As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you. You will be comforted in Jerusalem.”You will see it, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones will flourish like the tender grass. Yahweh’s hand will be known among his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.

“ Therefore the Lord Yahweh says:‘ Now I will reverse the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel. I will be jealous for my holy name.They will bear their shame, and all their trespasses by which they have trespassed against me, when they dwell securely in their land, and no one will make them afraid,when I have brought them back from the peoples, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations.They will know that I am Yahweh their God, in that I caused them to go into captivity among the nations, and have gathered them to their own land. Then I will leave none of them captive any more.I won’t hide my face from them any more; for I have poured out my Spirit on the house of Israel,’ says the Lord Yahweh.”

As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Say to them,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, where they have gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land.I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. One king will be king to them all. They will no longer be two nations. They won’t be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.They won’t defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. So they will be my people, and I will be their God.“‘“ My servant David will be king over them. They all will have one shepherd. They will also walk in my ordinances, and observe my statutes, and do them.They will dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob my servant, in which your fathers lived. They will dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children’s children, forever. David my servant will be their prince forever.Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them. It will be an everlasting covenant with them. I will place them, multiply them, and will set my sanctuary among them forever more.My tent also will be with them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.The nations will know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies Israel, when my sanctuary is among them forever more.”’”

“ Therefore I will judge you, house of Israel, everyone according to his ways,” says the Lord Yahweh.“ Return, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity will not be your ruin.Cast away from you all your transgressions, in which you have transgressed; and make yourself a new heart and a new spirit: for why will you die, house of Israel?For I have no pleasure in the death of him who dies,” says the Lord Yahweh.“ Therefore turn yourselves, and live!

“ For I know their works and their thoughts. The time comes that I will gather all nations and languages, and they will come, and will see my glory.“ I will set a sign among them, and I will send those who escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to far- away islands, who have not heard my fame, nor have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the nations.They shall bring all your brothers out of all the nations for an offering to Yahweh, on horses, in chariots, in litters, on mules, and on camels, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says Yahweh, as the children of Israel bring their offering in a clean vessel into Yahweh’s house.Of them I will also select priests and Levites,” says Yahweh.“ For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me,” says Yahweh,“ so your offspring and your name shall remain.

I will set up one shepherd over them, and he will feed them, even my servant David. He will feed them, and he will be their shepherd.I, Yahweh, will be their God, and my servant David prince among them. I, Yahweh, have spoken it.“‘ I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause evil animals to cease out of the land. They will dwell securely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.I will make them and the places around my hill a blessing. I will cause the shower to come down in its season. There will be showers of blessing.The tree of the field will yield its fruit, and the earth will yield its increase, and they will be secure in their land. Then they will know that I am Yahweh, when I have broken the bars of their yoke, and have delivered them out of the hand of those who made slaves of them.They will no more be a prey to the nations, neither will the animals of the earth devour them; but they will dwell securely, and no one will make them afraid.I will raise up to them a plantation for renown, and they will no more be consumed with famine in the land, and not bear the shame of the nations any more.They will know that I, Yahweh, their God am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are my people, says the Lord Yahweh.You my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, are men, and I am your God,’ says the Lord Yahweh.”

Then I will teach transgressors your ways. Sinners will be converted to you.

Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Yahweh.

“ But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says Yahweh:“ I will put my law in their inward parts, and I will write it in their heart. I will be their God, and they shall be my people.They will no longer each teach his neighbor, and every man teach his brother, saying,‘ Know Yahweh;’ for they will all know me, from their least to their greatest,” says Yahweh:“ for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

Have mercy on me, God, according to your loving kindness. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity. Cleanse me from my sin.For I know my transgressions. My sin is constantly before me.

“ Arise, shine; for your light has come, and Yahweh’s glory has risen on you.For, behold, darkness will cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but Yahweh will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you.Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.“ Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather themselves together. They come to you. Your sons will come from far away, and your daughters will be carried in arms.Then you shall see and be radiant, and your heart will thrill and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you. The wealth of the nations will come to you.A multitude of camels will cover you, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah. All from Sheba will come. They will bring gold and frankincense, and will proclaim the praises of Yahweh.All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together to you. The rams of Nebaioth will serve you. They will be accepted as offerings on my altar; and I will beautify my glorious house.“ Who are these who fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?Surely the islands will wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of Yahweh your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you.“ Foreigners will build up your walls, and their kings will serve you: for in my wrath I struck you, but in my favor I have had mercy on you.Your gates also shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night, that men may bring to you the wealth of the nations, and their kings led captive.For that nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; yes, those nations shall be utterly wasted.“ The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the cypress tree, the pine, and the box tree together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.The sons of those who afflicted you will come bowing to you; and all those who despised you will bow themselves down at the soles of your feet. They will call you Yahweh’s City, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.“ Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no one passed through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.You will also drink the milk of the nations, and will nurse from royal breasts. Then you will know that I, Yahweh, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.For bronze I will bring gold; for iron I will bring silver; for wood, bronze, and for stones, iron. I will also make peace your governor, and righteousness your ruler.Violence shall no more be heard in your land, nor desolation or destruction within your borders; but you will call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.The sun will be no more your light by day; nor will the brightness of the moon give light to you, but Yahweh will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.Your sun will not go down any more, nor will your moon withdraw itself; for Yahweh will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning will end.Then your people will all be righteous. They will inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.The little one will become a thousand, and the small one a strong nation. I, Yahweh, will do this quickly in its time.”

He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings,

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away.”
