Agrippa said to Paul,“ Are you going to persuade me to become a Christian so easily?”

阿格里帕对保罗说：“你用几句话就要说服我成为基督徒吗？”

亞基帕對保羅說：「你想少微一勸，便叫我作基督徒啊！」

亞基帕謂保羅曰、爾以少許之勸勉、令我為基督徒耶、

亞基帕謂保羅曰、爾幾使我為基督徒矣、

亞基帕王謂保羅曰、爾言幾使我為基督徒矣、

亞基帕語葆樂曰：『吾之不被汝勸化、而為基督之徒也幾希！』

Then Agrippa said to Paul,“ Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?”

Then Agrippa spoke to Paul.“ Are you trying to talk me into becoming a Christian?” he said.“ Do you think you can do that in such a short time?”

And Agrippa said to Paul,“ In a short time would you persuade me to be a Christian?”

Agrippa interrupted him.“ Do you think you can persuade me to become a Christian so quickly?”

Agrippa replied to Paul,“ In a short time you are going to persuade me to make a Christian of myself.”

Then Agrippa said to Paul,“ You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”

And Agrippa said unto Paul, With but little persuasion thou wouldest fain make me a Christian.

Then Agrippa said to Paul,“ Are you going to persuade me to become a Christian so easily?”

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

Agrippa said to Paul,“ In such a short time are you persuading me to become a Christian?”

Agrippa said to Paul,“ With a little persuasion are you trying to make me a Christian?”

and when he found him he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught large numbers. The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.

Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful things, not acting deceitfully or distorting the word of God, but commending ourselves before God to everyone’s conscience by an open display of the truth.

You will even be brought before governors and kings because of me, to bear witness to them and to the Gentiles.

So my people come to you in crowds, sit in front of you, and hear your words, but they don’t obey them. Their mouths go on passionately, but their hearts pursue dishonest profit.

“ I wish before God,” replied Paul,“ that whether easily or with difficulty, not only you but all who listen to me today might become as I am— except for these chains.”

Now as he spoke about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix became afraid and replied,“ Leave for now, but when I have an opportunity I’ll call for you.”

Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like someone looking at his own face in a mirror.For he looks at himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of person he was.

As he was setting out on a journey, a man ran up, knelt down before him, and asked him,“ Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”“ Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked him.“ No one is good except God alone.You know the commandments: Do not murder; do not commit adultery; do not steal; do not bear false witness; do not defraud; honor your father and mother.”He said to him,“ Teacher, I have kept all these from my youth.”Looking at him, Jesus loved him and said to him,“ You lack one thing: Go, sell all you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”But he was dismayed by this demand, and he went away grieving, because he had many possessions.

But if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed but let him glorify God in having that name.

because Herod feared John and protected him, knowing he was a righteous and holy man. When Herod heard him he would be very perplexed, and yet he liked to listen to him.
