亚基帕对非斯都说：“这个人若没有向凯撒上诉，早就可以释放了。”

保罗说：“我现在站在凯撒的审判台前，这里是我应当受审的地方。我对犹太人并没有作过什么不对的事，这是你清楚知道的。

“大能者神耶和华！大能者神耶和华，他是知道的，愿以色列也知道；如果我们存心背叛，或是对耶和华不忠，今日就不要放过我们。

耶和华我的神啊！如果我作了这事，如果我手中有罪孽，如果我以恶回报那与我为友的人，或是无故掠夺与我为敌的人，就任凭仇敌追赶我，直到追上，把我的性命践踏在地上，使我的光荣归于尘土。（细拉）

士兵正用皮带绑他的时候，保罗对站在旁边的百夫长说：“你们鞭打一个还没有定罪的罗马公民，是合法的吗？”

保罗刚要开口，迦流就对犹太人说：“犹太人啊，如果有犯法或邪恶的罪行，我当然要耐心听你们；

保罗对他们说：“我们是罗马人，还没有定罪，他们就公开打我们，又放在监里；现在要私下赶我们出去吗？不行！他们应当亲自来，领我们出去！”

这些犹太人杀了主耶稣和众先知，又把我们赶出来。他们得不到神的喜悦，并且和所有的人作对，
