眾大譟、𠵽唎㘔同道士子、起而爭曰、我儕見此人無惡、或神、或天使、與之言、我不可與上帝爭、

眾大譟、屬法利賽教之經士、起而爭辯曰、我儕見此人無惡、若有鬼魂或天使與之言、我儕不可敵天主、

於是大聲噪聒、有法利塞黨之經生數人、起而辯曰：『吾儕未見是人有何罪惡；安知無神靈或天神曾與之語耶？』

There was a great uproar, and some of the teachers of the law who were Pharisees stood up and argued vigorously.“ We find nothing wrong with this man,” they said.“ What if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?”

Then a great clamor arose, and some of the scribes of the Pharisees’ party stood up and contended sharply,“ We find nothing wrong in this man. What if a spirit or an angel spoke to him?”

So there was a great uproar. Some of the teachers of religious law who were Pharisees jumped up and began to argue forcefully.“ We see nothing wrong with him,” they shouted.“ Perhaps a spirit or an angel spoke to him.”

The shouting grew loud, and some of the scribes of the Pharisees’ party got up and argued vehemently,“ We find nothing evil in this man. What if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?”

And a great uproar occurred; and some of the scribes of the Pharisaic party stood up and started arguing heatedly, saying,“ We find nothing wrong with this man; suppose a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?”

Then there arose a loud outcry. And the scribes of the Pharisees’ party arose and protested, saying,“ We find no evil in this man; but if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him, let us not fight against God.”

And there arose a great clamor: and some of the scribes of the Pharisees’ part stood up, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: and what if a spirit hath spoken to him, or an angel?

Then I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me,‘ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’

When I returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, I fell into a tranceand saw the Lord saying to me,‘ Hurry and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about me.’

The crowd that stood there and heard the voice said that it had thundered. Others said that an angel had spoken to him.

and as they were leaving they said to one another,“ This man is not doing anything deserving death or imprisonment.”

When the experts in the law and the Pharisees saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors, they said to his disciples,“ Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

I found he was accused with reference to controversial questions about their law, but no charge against him deserved death or imprisonment.

But I found that he had done nothing that deserved death, and when he appealed to His Majesty the Emperor, I decided to send him.

A third time he said to them,“ Why? What wrong has he done? I have found him guilty of no crime deserving death. I will therefore flog him and release him.”

but if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them, or you may even be found fighting against God.” He convinced them,

and said to them,“ You brought me this man as one who was misleading the people. When I examined him before you, I did not find this man guilty of anything you accused him of doing.Neither did Herod, for he sent him back to us. Look, he has done nothing deserving death.

Therefore if God gave them the same gift as he also gave us after believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to hinder God?”

When a person’s ways are pleasing to the LORD, he even reconciles his enemies to himself.

Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds,“ I find no basis for an accusation against this man.”

( For the Sadducees say there is no resurrection, or angel, or spirit, but the Pharisees acknowledge them all.)

But the Pharisees and their experts in the law complained to his disciples, saying,“ Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”

He said to David,“ You are more innocent than I, for you have treated me well, even though I have tried to harm you!

Or are we trying to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we really stronger than he is?

When we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic,‘ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? You are hurting yourself by kicking against the goads.’So I said,‘ Who are you, Lord?’ And the Lord replied,‘ I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.But get up and stand on your feet, for I have appeared to you for this reason, to designate you in advance as a servant and witness to the things you have seen and to the things in which I will appear to you.I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending youto open their eyes so that they turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’“ Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,

For last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve came to me
