亚伯兰说：“主耶和华啊，你要赐我什么呢？我没有儿子，继承我家业的人是大马士革人以利以谢。”

夜里，亚伯兰和他的随从分头出击，大败敌人，一直追杀到大马士革北面的何巴，

耶稣在他们面前改变了形象，面貌如太阳一样发光，衣服洁白如光。

当他快到大马士革的时候，突然有一道光从天上射下来，四面照着他。他倒在地上，听见有声音对他说：“扫罗！扫罗！你为什么迫害我？”他说：“主啊，你是谁？”那声音说：“我就是你所迫害的耶稣。起来！进城去，有人会告诉你该做的事。”同行的人站在那里只听见声音，却看不见人，吓得张口结舌。扫罗爬起来，睁大眼睛，却什么也看不见，同伴拉着他的手进了大马士革。

还派军驻守亚兰国的大马士革，亚兰人臣服大卫，向他进贡。耶和华使大卫无往而不胜。

那时，月亮必羞于露面，太阳必黯然无光，因为万军之耶和华必在锡安山，在耶路撒冷掌权，在祂子民的首领面前彰显荣耀。

祂右手拿着七颗星，口中吐出一把两刃的利剑，面貌如烈日放光。
