They have been informed that you teach all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to turn away from Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or live according to our customs.

They have been told that you teach Jews to turn away from the Law of Moses. You teach this to the Jews who live among the Gentiles. They think that you teach those Jews not to circumcise their children. They think that you teach them to give up our Jewish ways.

喊叫：“各位以色列人哪，请帮忙！这个人就是那到处教导大家反对我们的民族、律法，反对这地方的！他甚至把希腊人带进圣殿，玷污了这圣地。”

我诚然是自由的，不属于任何人，但我使自己成为所有人的奴仆，为了赢得更多的人。对犹太人，我就成为一个像犹太人那样的人，为了赢得犹太人；对律法之下的人，虽然我自己不在律法之下，我却成为一个像是在律法之下的人，为了赢得在律法之下的人；对没有律法的人，我就成为一个像是没有律法的人那样，为了赢得没有律法的人——对神，我不是没有律法的，而是在基督的律法之下。

第三天，保罗请犹太人的首领们来。他们聚集了，保罗就对他们说：“各位兄弟，我没有做过任何反对我们民族或先祖规矩的事，却做为囚犯从耶路撒冷被交到罗马人手中。

基督释放了我们，使我们得自由。所以你们当站立得稳，不要再被奴役的轭所束缚。看，我保罗告诉你们：如果你们要受割礼，基督就对你们毫无益处了。我再次忠告每一个受割礼的人：他有责任遵行全部律法。你们这些藉着律法被称为义的人，你们是与基督隔绝，从恩典中堕落了。要知道，我们藉着圣灵，本于信，满怀着称义的盼望；因为在基督耶稣里，受割礼或不受割礼都没有用处，只有藉着爱行出来的信仰才有用处。

你们要接纳在信仰上软弱的人，避免在有争议的事上辩论。虽然有的人相信什么都可以吃，但那软弱的人却只吃蔬菜。吃的人不要藐视不吃的人，不吃的人也不要评断吃的人，因为神已经接纳他了。你到底是谁，竟然评断别人的仆人？他或站稳或跌倒，是他自己主人的事；而且他会站得住，因为主能使他站得住。虽然有的人判定这一天比那一天重要，但有的人却判定每一天都一样。每个人当在自己理性上确信不疑。注重某一天的人，是为主而注重的；吃的人，是为主而吃的，因为他感谢神；不吃的人，也是为主不吃的，他也感谢神。

因此，我判定不可为难那些归向神的外邦人，不过要写信给他们：要远避偶像的污秽，远避淫乱、勒死的动物和血。因为自古以来，在各城里都有人宣讲摩西，每逢安息日在各会堂里都有人诵读他的书。”

并且推出假见证人说：“这个人不断地说亵渎神的话语，反对这圣所和律法。我们曾听到他说，这个拿撒勒人耶稣要拆毁这地方，也要改变摩西传给我们的规矩。”

如果一个人蒙召的时候已经受了割礼，就不应该取消割礼的记号；如果一个人蒙召的时候没有受割礼，就不应该受割礼。受割礼不重要，不受割礼也不重要，重要的是遵守神的命令。

保罗想要带他一起去，但为了那些地方的犹太人的缘故，就给他行了割礼，因为大家都知道他父亲是希腊人。
