後來，當有些人心裡剛硬、不肯信從，在會眾面前誹謗這道的時候，保羅就離開他們，把門徒們分別出來，天天在特拉諾斯講堂裡講論。

各位蒙愛的人哪，我一直十分殷切地要寫信給你們，談論我們共有的救恩；我感到有必要寫信鼓勵你們，為曾經一次性地託付給聖徒們的信仰而努力爭戰，

保羅和賽拉斯經過安菲波利斯和阿波羅尼亞，來到帖撒羅尼迦。那裡有一個猶太人的會堂。保羅照習慣進了會堂，一連三個安息日，引用經文向他們講論，講解並說明基督必須受難，然後從死人中復活，並且說：「我傳給你們的這位耶穌，就是基督。」

有一次在以哥念，保羅和巴拿巴同樣進了猶太人的會堂講道，結果有一大群猶太人和希臘人信了。

每逢安息日，保羅就在會堂裡講論，勸導猶太人和希臘人。

於是他在會堂裡向猶太人以及那些敬神的人講論，每天又向在街市上遇見的人講論。

保羅和巴拿巴就放膽直言，說：「神的話語先傳給你們是必須的。既然你們棄絕這道，斷定自己不配得永恆的生命，看哪，我們就轉向外邦人，

他們從佩爾格往前行，來到皮西迪亞地區的安提阿，在安息日那天，就進了會堂坐下。

然而我蒙了從神而來的幫助，直到今天仍能站立得住，不但向卑微的，還向尊貴的做見證。我所講的，不外乎先知們和摩西所說的那些將要成就的事，就是基督要受難，要成為第一個從死人中復活的人，要把光傳給這子民和外邦人。」

就立刻在各會堂裡傳講耶穌，說這一位就是神的兒子。所有聽見的人都十分驚訝，說：「這不就是那個在耶路撒冷殘害了那些求告這名的人嗎？而且他來到這裡，不就是為要捆綁他們，帶到祭司長們那裡嗎？」掃羅反而更加得以剛強，證明這一位就是基督，使住在大馬士革的猶太人很狼狽。

他們到達以弗所城，保羅把他們兩個人留在那裡，自己就進了會堂向猶太人講論。
