and he said unto them, Did ye receive the Holy Spirit when ye believed? And they said unto him, Nay, we did not so much as hear whether the Holy Spirit was given.

問他們：「你們信的時候，是否領受了聖靈？」他們告訴他：「其實我們也沒有聽說過是否有聖靈。」

爾信時曾受聖神否、對曰、聖神之臨、我未之聞也、

爾曹信後、曾受聖神否、曰、聖神降否、我未之聞也、

問之曰、爾曹信後、曾受聖神否、曰、我儕未聞有聖神、

『爾奉教後曾受聖神否？』答曰：『否、且未聞有聖神也。』

and asked them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They answered,“ No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

He asked them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?”“ No,” they answered.“ We haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

And he said to them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said,“ No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” he asked them.“ No,” they replied,“ we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

He said to them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said to him,“ On the contrary, we have not even heard if there is a Holy Spirit.”

But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believed on him were to receive: for the Spirit was not yet given; because Jesus was not yet glorified.

He therefore that supplieth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them, even as on us at the beginning.And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit.If then God gave unto them the like gift as he did also unto us, when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I, that I could withstand God?

For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all them that heard the word.

And it shall be in the last days, saith God, I will pour forth of my Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams:

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.Ye know that when ye were Gentiles ye were led away unto those dumb idols, howsoever ye might be led.Wherefore I make known unto you, that no man speaking in the Spirit of God saith, Jesus is anathema; and no man can say, Jesus is Lord, but in the Holy Spirit.Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.And there are diversities of ministrations, and the same Lord.And there are diversities of workings, but the same God, who worketh all things in all.But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit to profit withal.For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom; and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit:to another faith, in the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, in the one Spirit;and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits: to another divers kinds of tongues; and to another the interpretation of tongues:but all these worketh the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each one severally even as he will.

And when they heard this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own;

who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit:for as yet it was fallen upon none of them: only they had been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

Now Samuel did not yet know Jehovah, neither was the word of Jehovah yet revealed unto him.
