我方行遊、見爾所拜、遇一壇、書曰、未識之上帝、爾所未識而崇奉者、我為爾告之、

我適遊行、欲觀爾所崇拜者、遇一祭壇、上刻曰、未識之主、爾所未識而崇拜者、今我告爾、

蓋吾嘗閒步街頭、一覽爾所崇拜之對象、偶值一壇、上書「獻於未識之神。」茲吾欲揭示於爾者、正爾所未識而敬事者也。

He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God. (niv)

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.For God, who said,“ Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. (niv)
