保罗照他素常的规矩进去，一连三个安息日，本着圣经与他们辩论，

同他到亚细亚去的，有庇哩亚人毕罗斯的儿子所巴特，帖撒罗尼迦人亚里达古和西公都，还有特庇人该犹，并提摩太，又有亚细亚人推基古和特罗非摩。

我们从前在腓立比被害受辱，这是你们知道的；然而还是靠我们的神放开胆量，在大争战中把神的福音传给你们。

他的门徒就在夜间用筐子把他从城墙上缒下去。

约拿单对大卫说：“我们二人曾指着耶和华的名起誓说：‘愿耶和华在你我中间，并你我后裔中间为证，直到永远。’如今你平平安安地去吧！”大卫就起身走了；约拿单也回城里去了。

于是米甲将大卫从窗户里缒下去，大卫就逃走，躲避了。米甲把家中的神像放在床上，头枕在山羊毛装的枕头上，用被遮盖。扫罗打发人去捉拿大卫，米甲说：“他病了。”扫罗又打发人去看大卫，说：“当连床将他抬来，我好杀他。”使者进去，看见床上有神像，头枕在山羊毛装的枕头上。扫罗对米甲说：“你为什么这样欺哄我，放我仇敌逃走呢？”米甲回答说：“他对我说：‘你放我走，不然我要杀你。’”

于是女人用绳子将二人从窗户里缒下去；因她的房子是在城墙边上，她也住在城墙上。她对他们说：“你们且往山上去，恐怕追赶的人碰见你们；要在那里隐藏三天，等追赶的人回来，然后才可以走你们的路。”

千夫长便叫了两个百夫长来，说：“预备步兵二百，马兵七十，长枪手二百，今夜亥初往凯撒利亚去；也要预备牲口叫保罗骑上，护送到巡抚腓力斯那里去。”

使徒知道了，就逃往吕高尼的路司得、特庇两个城和周围地方去，在那里传福音。
