巴拿巴、掃羅既奉聖神之遣、乃赴西流基、乘舟至居比路。既抵撒拉米、在猶太會堂宣揚主道、若望輔之。經全島、抵帕弗、有猶太人巴也素者、能巫術、充先知、常與方伯士求保羅遊。士求保羅哲士也、召見巴拿巴、掃羅、欲聆天主之道。而以呂馬（譯言巫者）仇之、欲阻方伯信道。掃羅者葆樂也、充乎聖神、注目視之曰：『詭譎奸惡、備爾一身、魔鬼之子、百善之仇、混淆主之正道、伊于胡底！主今爾譴、暫且使爾失明、不見天日！』其目立盲、暗中摸索、乞為牽引。方伯睹此、大驚、乃信奉主道焉。

惟其中亦有居比路及古利奈人。既至安提阿、乃向希臘人傳揚主耶穌之福音。

當斯時也信徒益眾、而中操希臘語之猶太人、訾議希伯來人忽其諸嫠之日給。

葆樂、巴拿巴力與之辯。眾乃推定葆樂巴拿巴及其他同道數人、就耶路撒冷之宗徒長老決之；

舟復起椗；以風逆、故傍居比路之背風岸而行。

爾時民眾。向主跋扈。每瑟遑急。言有失度。
