惟書諭之、戒偶像之污與淫、並勒死之牲及血、

至於異邦之信者、我儕已遺書、擬定宜戒祭像之物、及血、並勒死之牲、與淫而已、

試觀依形軀之以色列人、食祭物者、非與於祭壇乎、然則何謂耶、言祭像之物為足稱乎、抑像為足稱乎、乃謂異邦所祭者祭鬼耳、非上帝也、我不欲爾與於鬼也、

然我有數端責爾、因爾處有持巴蘭之訓者、昔巴蘭訓巴勒投躓石於以色列民前、使食祭像之物並行淫、

然我有所責爾者、以爾容自稱先知之婦耶洗別、彼誨我諸僕、誘之行淫、且食祭像之物、

餘則問諸兄弟安、願爾完全安慰、同心輯和、則仁愛平康之上帝必偕爾、

蓋諸生物、其血與命為一、故諭以色列族云、凡生物之血毋食、因生物之命在血、食之者必見絕、

勿因食毀上帝之工、凡物固潔、然於因食而躓者、則惡矣、不食肉、不飲酒、凡事不使兄弟躓者、則善也、

夫眷顧孤寡於患難間、且自守不為斯世所染者、此則於我父上帝前、為純潔無玷之虔敬也、

我宗主耶穌確知深信、凡物原無不潔、惟以之為不潔者、則於彼為不潔矣、若使兄弟因食而憂、則所行不由於愛也、基督既為之死、爾毋以所食敗之、

勿遽按手於人、勿與人罪、惟潔是務、

夫能保爾無蹶、立爾於其有榮之前、歡然無瑕、獨一之上帝、我之救者、

偕爾時乏於用、未累一人、自馬其頓來之兄弟、補我所乏、我凡事自守、不至累爾、終必自守、

愛友乎、宜於爾至聖之道而自建、於聖神而祈禱、於上帝之愛而自守、企望我主耶穌基督之矜恤、以至永生、
