你们看看按肉身是以色列人，那些吃祭物的不就是与祭坛有分吗？我说的是什么意思呢？偶像算得什么，还是祭过偶像的食物算得什么？我是说，教外人所祭的是鬼，不是献给神；我却不愿意你们与鬼来往。

然而有几件事我要责备你，因为在你那里有些人持守巴兰的教训。这巴兰曾经教导巴勒把绊脚石放在以色列人面前，叫他们吃祭过偶像的食物，并且行淫乱。

然而有一件事我要责备你，就是你容让那自称是先知的妇人耶洗别，教导和引诱我的众仆人行淫乱，吃祭过偶像的食物。

最后，弟兄们，你们要喜乐，要完全，要受安慰，要同心，要和睦。这样，施慈爱赐平安的神必与你们同在。

“因为所有动物的生命就在它们的血中（“因为所有动物的生命就在它们的血中”直译是“因为所有动物的生命就是它的血；它是在它的生命里”；或译：“论到所有动物的生命，它的血是在它的生命里”），所以我对以色列人说：任何动物的血，你们都不可吃；因为所有动物的血，就是它的生命；吃血的，必被剪除。

不可因食物的缘故拆毁神的工作。一切都是洁净的，但人若因食物绊倒弟兄，对他来说，这就是恶事了。无论是吃肉，是喝酒，或是什么使你的弟兄跌倒的事，一律不要作才好。

在父神看来，纯洁无玷污的虔诚，就是照顾患难中的孤儿寡妇，并且保守自己不被世俗所污染。

我知道，并且在主耶稣里深信，没有一样东西的本身是不洁的，但如果有人认为是不洁的，对他来说那东西就成为不洁了。如果你为了食物使你的弟兄忧愁，你就不再是凭着爱心行事了。你不可因着你的食物，使基督已经替他死了的人灭亡。

不要匆匆忙忙地替别人按手，也不要在别人的罪上有分，要保守自己清洁。

愿荣耀、威严、能力、权柄，藉着我们的主耶稣基督，从万世以前，及现在，直到永永远远，归给独一的神我们的救主。他能保守你们不至跌倒，使你们毫无瑕疵、欢然站在他荣光之前。阿们。

我在你们那里有缺乏的时候，并没有连累任何人，因为从马其顿来的弟兄们，补足了我的缺乏。我在各方面都不让自己成为你们的重担，将来也是一样。

但你们呢，亲爱的，你们要在至圣的信仰上建立自己，在圣灵里祷告，要保守自己在神的爱中，仰望我们主耶稣基督的怜悯，直到永生。

却辞别他们说：“神若许可，我还要回到你们这里来。”于是从以弗所开船去了。

又有一个人说：“主，我要跟从你，但容我先回去，向家人道别。”

后来我接到密报，得知害他的阴谋，就立刻把他送到你那里去，并且吩咐原告到你面前来控告他。”
