Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas;[ namely], Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas( called Barsabbas) and Silas, men who were leaders among the believers.

By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.

And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.

Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,

And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there still.

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews[ that] Jesus[ was] Christ.

And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew[ them] into the marketplace unto the rulers,

Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians[ which is] in God the Father and[ in] the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace[ be] unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.

And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming[ thither] went into the synagogue of the Jews.

And they wrote[ letters] by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren[ send] greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:

And all the people took notice[ of it], and it pleased them: as whatsoever the king did pleased all the people.

Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation.

Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the LORD.

It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren,[ and said], Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.
