獄吏叫人拿了燈來，就衝進去，戰戰兢兢地俯伏在保羅和西拉面前，

弟兄們立刻把保羅送到海邊去；西拉和提摩太仍然留在比里亞。

約在半夜，保羅和西拉祈禱歌頌神，囚犯們都側耳聽著。

西拉和提摩太從馬其頓下來的時候，保羅就專心傳揚主的道，向猶太人極力證明耶穌是基督。

於是他們提出兩個人：約瑟（號稱巴撒巴，又名猶士都）和馬提亞，

她的主人們看見發財的希望完了，就揪住保羅和西拉，拉到市中心去見官長，

保羅、西拉和提摩太，寫信給帖撒羅尼迦、在我們的父神和主耶穌基督裡的教會。

他們中間有人給說服了，就附從了保羅和西拉；還有一大群虔誠的希臘人，和不少顯要的婦女。

弟兄們當夜立刻送保羅和西拉往比里亞去。二人到了，就進入猶太人的會堂。

於是寫信給他們帶去，信上說：“使徒和作長老的弟兄們，向安提阿、敘利亞、基利家的外族眾弟兄問安。

眾人看見了，就都喜悅。王所作的一切，他們都很喜悅。

在耶路撒冷的使徒，聽見撒瑪利亞居民領受了神的道，就差派彼得和約翰到他們那裡去。

至於我們，我們要專心祈禱、傳道。”這個意見全會眾都很滿意，於是選出司提反，他是一位滿有信心和聖靈的人，還有腓利、伯羅哥羅、尼加挪、提門、巴米拿，以及歸信猶太教的安提阿人尼哥拉，

王和全體會眾都認為這計劃很好，

神的能力也幫助猶大人，使他們一心遵行王和眾領袖奉耶和華的命令發出的吩咐。

因此，我們一致同意，選派一些人跟我們親愛的巴拿巴和保羅去見你們，

有幾個人從猶太下來，教導弟兄們說：“你們若不照摩西的規例受割禮，就不能得救。”保羅和巴拿巴，與他們大大地爭執辯論起來。大家就派保羅、巴拿巴和他們中間的幾個人，為這個問題上耶路撒冷去見使徒和長老。

這事傳到耶路撒冷教會的耳中，他們就派巴拿巴到安提阿去。
