They sent Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, leading men among the brothers,with the following letter:“ The brothers, both the apostles and the elders, to the brothers who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, greetings.

The apostles and the elders were gathered together to consider this matter.And after there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them,“ Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe.

When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they declared all that God had done with them.

And they did so, sending it to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.

Then after fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus along with me.I went up because of a revelation and set before them( though privately before those who seemed influential) the gospel that I proclaim among the Gentiles, in order to make sure I was not running or had not run in vain.

For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them.To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law( though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law.To those outside the law I became as one outside the law( not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law.To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some.I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Accordingly, though I am bold enough in Christ to command you to do what is required,yet for love’s sake I prefer to appeal to you— I, Paul, an old man and now a prisoner also for Christ Jesus—

As they went on their way through the cities, they delivered to them for observance the decisions that had been reached by the apostles and elders who were in Jerusalem.

We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves will tell you the same things by word of mouth.

And the Spirit told me to go with them, making no distinction. These six brothers also accompanied me, and we entered the man’s house.

If you do this, God will direct you, you will be able to endure, and all this people also will go to their place in peace.”

Indeed, I consider that I am not in the least inferior to these super-apostles.

it has seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

So he invited them in to be his guests. The next day he rose and went away with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa accompanied him.

Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.

On the following day Paul went in with us to James, and all the elders were present.

to them we did not yield in submission even for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.

And the Lord said to Samuel,“ Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.
