我们从他领受了恩典和使徒的职分，在万族中使人因他的名相信而顺服，

因我们神的怜悯，使清晨的阳光从高天临到我们，

“主，以色列的神，是应当称颂的，因他眷顾自己的子民，施行救赎，

然而你们是蒙拣选的族类，是君尊的祭司，是圣洁的国民，是属神的子民，为要叫你们宣扬那召你们出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。“你们从前不是子民，现在却是神的子民；从前未蒙怜恤，现在却蒙了怜恤。”
