后来，有些人心里刚硬不信，在众人面前毁谤这道；保罗就离开他们，也叫门徒与他们分开，就在推喇奴的讲堂天天辩论。

你们以为我来是要使地上太平吗？不！我告诉你们，是使人纷争。从今以后，一家五个人将要纷争，三个和两个相争，两个和三个相争：父亲和儿子相争，儿子和父亲相争；母亲和女儿相争，女儿和母亲相争；婆婆和媳妇相争，媳妇和婆婆相争。”
