使徒知道了，就逃往吕高尼的路司得、特庇两个城和周围地方去，

保罗来到特庇，又到路司得。在那里有一个门徒，名叫提摩太，是信主之犹太妇人的儿子，他父亲却是希腊人。

找着了，就带他到安提阿去。他们足有一年的工夫和教会一同聚集，教训了许多人。门徒称为“基督徒”是从安提阿起首。

有一个少年人，名叫犹推古，坐在窗台上，困倦沉睡。保罗讲了多时，少年人睡熟了，就从三层楼上掉下去；扶起他来，已经死了。保罗下去，伏在他身上，抱着他，说：“你们不要发慌，他的灵魂还在身上。”保罗又上去，擘饼，吃了，谈论许久，直到天亮，这才走了。有人把那童子活活地领来，得的安慰不小。

自己心里也断定是必死的，叫我们不靠自己，只靠叫死人复活的神。他曾救我们脱离那极大的死亡，现在仍要救我们，并且我们指望他将来还要救我们。

乱定之后，保罗请门徒来，劝勉他们，就辞别起行，往马其顿去。

二人就在那里同门徒住了多日。

二人出了监，往吕底亚家里去，见了弟兄们，劝慰他们一番，就走了。

似乎不为人所知，却是人所共知的；似乎要死，却是活着的；似乎受责罚，却是不至丧命的；

彼得摆手，不要他们作声，就告诉他们主怎样领他出监；又说：“你们把这事告诉雅各和众弟兄。”于是出去，往别处去了。

他们作完见证的时候，那从无底坑里上来的兽必与他们交战，并且得胜，把他们杀了。他们的尸首就倒在大城里的街上；这城按着灵意叫所多玛，又叫埃及，就是他们的主钉十字架之处。从各民、各族、各方、各国中，有人观看他们的尸首三天半，又不许把尸首放在坟墓里。住在地上的人就为他们欢喜快乐，互相馈送礼物，因这两位先知曾叫住在地上的人受痛苦。过了这三天半，有生气从神那里进入他们里面，他们就站起来；看见他们的人甚是害怕。两位先知听见有大声音从天上来，对他们说：“上到这里来。”他们就驾着云上了天，他们的仇敌也看见了。

坚固门徒的心，劝他们恒守所信的道；又说：“我们进入神的国，必须经历许多艰难。”
