兩個人知道了，就逃往利考尼亞地區的路司得和代爾貝兩個城以及周圍地區，

保羅到達代爾貝城，又到了路司得城。當時，那裡有一個名叫提摩太的門徒，是一個信主的猶太婦人的兒子，他父親是希臘人。

找到了，就帶他到安提阿來。然後有整整一年，兩個人與會眾聚在一起，教導了一大群人。門徒們第一次被稱為「基督徒」是在安提阿。

有一個名叫猶圖克斯的年輕人坐在窗臺上，陷入了沉睡。保羅又講論了很久，猶圖克斯在沉睡中從三樓掉了下去，被扶起來的時候，已經死了。保羅下去，伏在他身上，抱著他說：「不要慌亂，他的靈魂還在身上！」保羅再上去，掰餅吃了，又交談了許久，直到天亮才出發。他們把那活生生的年輕人帶走，並且受到了不少的安慰。

然而我們在自己裡面已經承受了死亡的判決，好讓我們不依靠自己，而依靠那使死人復活的神。他救我們脫離了如此致命的危險，並且將來要救我們——我們盼望他將來還要救我們。

騷亂平息以後，保羅請門徒們來，鼓勵一番，然後與他們告別，就出發往馬其頓省去了。

兩個人在那裡與門徒們一起住了不少時候。

保羅和賽拉斯出了監獄，就到莉迪婭家裡去，見了弟兄們，鼓勵他們一番，然後離開了。

像是人所不知的，卻是人所共知的；像是快要死的，可是看哪，我們是活著的；像是受懲罰的，卻是不被治死；

彼得揮一下手叫他們安靜，告訴他們主怎樣領他出了監獄，又說：「你們把這些事告訴雅各和弟兄們。」然後他就出發，往別的地方去了。

他們做完了見證以後，那從無底坑裡上來的獸將與他們作戰，並且將勝過他們，把他們殺死。他們的屍體會被拋在大城的街道上。這大城按屬靈的意思叫做所多瑪，又叫做埃及，也就是他們的主被釘十字架的地方。來自各民族、各支派、各語言群體和各國家的人，都要觀看他們的屍體三天半，又不准人把他們的屍體安放在墳墓裡。住在地上的人都因他們的死而歡喜、慶祝，並且要彼此送禮，因為這兩位先知曾使住在地上的人受痛苦。可是三天半之後，有從神而來的生命氣息進入他們裡面，他們就站立起來了。於是強烈的恐懼臨到那些觀看他們的人。隨後，兩位先知聽見一個大聲音從天上傳來，對他們說：「上到這裡來！」他們就在雲中升到天上去了，他們的敵人也看見了。

堅固門徒們的心，鼓勵他們持守信仰，說：「我們進入神的國，必須經過很多患難。」
