夫我儕以所許列祖之福音報爾、

昔上帝許祖宗之事、迨我為其子孫時、乃甦耶穌以應之、即我今傳福音與爾者是也、

我儕以福音報爾、即所許我列祖之事、今天主以耶穌復活、為我儕為其子孫者應之、

吾儕報爾佳音：天主嚮所許諾於吾祖者、已踐履於吾人。蓋天主已令耶穌復活矣。

“ We tell you the good news: What God promised our ancestors

“ We are telling you the good news. What God promised our people long ago

And we bring you the good news that what God promised to the fathers,

“ And now we are here to bring you this Good News. The promise was made to our ancestors,

And we ourselves proclaim to you the good news of the promise that was made to our ancestors.

And we preach to you the good news of the promise made to the fathers,

And we declare to you glad tidings— that promise which was made to the fathers.

And we bring you good tidings of the promise made unto the fathers,

And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,

And we proclaim to you the good news about the promise to our ancestors,

We bring you good news of the promise made to the fathers,

And now I stand on trial for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers,

For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would inherit the world was not through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.

I will appoint over them a single shepherd, My servant David, and he will shepherd them. He will tend them himself and will be their shepherd.

Bethlehem Ephrathah, you are small among the clans of Judah; One will come from you to be ruler over Israel for Me. His origin is from antiquity, from eternity.

You are to tell him: This is what the Lord of Hosts says: Here is a man whose name is Branch; He will branch out from His place and build the Lord’s temple.

“ The days are coming”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ when I will raise up a Righteous Branch of David. He will reign wisely as king and administer justice and righteousness in the land.

For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on His shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and forever. The zeal of the Lord of Hosts will accomplish this.

I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky, I will give your offspring all these lands, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed by your offspring,

Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive, have a son, and name him Immanuel.

I will shake all the nations so that the treasures of all the nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,” says the Lord of Hosts.

The Spirit of the Lord God is on Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners;

Therefore, let it be known to you, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you,

I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.

I was the first to say to Zion: Look! Here they are! And I gave a herald of good news to Jerusalem.

And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the gospel of good things!

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the herald, who proclaims peace, who brings news of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion,“ Your God reigns!”

And all the nations of the earth will be blessed by your offspring because you have obeyed My command.”

The scepter will not depart from Judah or the staff from between his feet until He whose right it is comes and the obedience of the peoples belongs to Him.

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout in triumph, Daughter Jerusalem! Look, your King is coming to you; He is righteous and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, and you will go out and playfully jump like calves from the stall.

I will bless those who bless you, I will curse those who treat you with contempt, and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.

He has helped His servant Israel, mindful of His mercy,just as He spoke to our ancestors, to Abraham and his descendants forever.

“ See, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. Then the Lord you seek will suddenly come to His temple, the Messenger of the covenant you desire— see, He is coming,” says the Lord of Hosts.

But the angel said to them,“ Don’t be afraid, for look, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people:

Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city— to bring the rebellion to an end, to put a stop to sin, to wipe away iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place.Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince will be seven weeks and 62 weeks. It will be rebuilt with a plaza and a moat, but in difficult times.After those 62 weeks the Messiah will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the coming prince will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come with a flood, and until the end there will be war; desolations are decreed.

Then a shoot will grow from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit.

They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the temple service, and the promises.

Every day in the temple complex, and in various homes, they continued teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.

The angel answered him,“ I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and tell you this good news.

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say“ and to seeds,” as though referring to many, but referring to one, and to your seed, who is Christ.And I say this: The law, which came 430 years later, does not revoke a covenant that was previously ratified by God and cancel the promise.For if the inheritance is from the law, it is no longer from the promise; but God granted it to Abraham through the promise.

Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

Zion, herald of good news, go up on a high mountain. Jerusalem, herald of good news, raise your voice loudly. Raise it, do not be afraid! Say to the cities of Judah,“ Here is your God!”

“ The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers. You must listen to him.

Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, because He has visited and provided redemption for His people.He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David,just as He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets in ancient times;salvation from our enemies and from the clutches of those who hate us.He has dealt mercifully with our fathers and remembered His holy covenant—the oath that He swore to our father Abraham. He has given us the privilege,

“ On that day a fountain will be opened for the house of David and for the residents of Jerusalem, to wash away sin and impurity.

Sword, awake against My shepherd, against the man who is My associate— this is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts. Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; I will also turn My hand against the little ones.
