This letter is from Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, chosen by God to be an apostle and sent out to preach his Good News.

And God chose me to be a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of this Good News.

But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. Then it pleased him

It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.

Finally, they returned by ship to Antioch of Syria, where their journey had begun. The believers there had entrusted them to the grace of God to do the work they had now completed.

“ But the Lord said to me,‘ Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles!’”

They encouraged us to keep preaching to the Gentiles, while they continued their work with the Jews.

So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”

Then Elkanah returned home to Ramah without Samuel. And the boy served the Lord by assisting Eli the priest.

Then she lived as a widow to the age of eighty four. She never left the Temple but stayed there day and night, worshiping God with fasting and prayer.

By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News.

“ So guard yourselves and God’s people. Feed and shepherd God’s flock— his church, purchased with his own blood— over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as leaders.

And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say,“ How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

David appointed the following Levites to lead the people in worship before the Ark of the Lord— to invoke his blessings, to give thanks, and to praise the Lord, the God of Israel.

And no one can become a high priest simply because he wants such an honor. He must be called by God for this work, just as Aaron was.

And say to Archippus,“ Be sure to carry out the ministry the Lord gave you.”

But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.

Raising his hands, Aaron must then present the Levites to the Lord as a special offering from the people of Israel, thus dedicating them to the Lord’s service.“ Next the Levites will lay their hands on the heads of the young bulls. Present one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering to the Lord, to purify the Levites and make them right with the Lord.Then have the Levites stand in front of Aaron and his sons, and raise your hands and present them as a special offering to the Lord.In this way, you will set the Levites apart from the rest of the people of Israel, and the Levites will belong to me.

David arranged for Asaph and his fellow Levites to serve regularly before the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant, doing whatever needed to be done each day.This group included Obed edom( son of Jeduthun), Hosah, and sixty eight other Levites as gatekeepers.Meanwhile, David stationed Zadok the priest and his fellow priests at the Tabernacle of the Lord at the place of worship in Gibeon, where they continued to minister before the Lord.They sacrificed the regular burnt offerings to the Lord each morning and evening on the altar set aside for that purpose, obeying everything written in the Law of the Lord, as he had commanded Israel.David also appointed Heman, Jeduthun, and the others chosen by name to give thanks to the Lord, for“ his faithful love endures forever.”They used their trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments to accompany their songs of praise to God. And the sons of Jeduthun were appointed as gatekeepers.Then all the people returned to their homes, and David turned and went home to bless his own family.

I am a special messenger from Christ Jesus to you Gentiles. I bring you the Good News so that I might present you as an acceptable offering to God, made holy by the Holy Spirit.

We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food.
