主今爾譴、暫且使爾失明、不見天日！』其目立盲、暗中摸索、乞為牽引。

因為你的手晝夜重壓在我身上，我的精力耗盡，如同在夏天的乾旱中。細拉

他們就派人招聚非利士眾首領，說：「把以色列神的約櫃送走吧！讓它回到原處，免得害死我們和我們的民眾。」對死亡的恐慌彌漫全城，神的手重重地壓在那裡。

耶和華的手重重地壓在阿實突人身上，使他們驚恐不安；他用腫物擊打阿實突及其四境。阿實突人看見這情形，就說：「以色列神的約櫃不可留在我們這裡，因為他的手重壓著我們和我們的神大袞。」

他們又擊打屋門口的那些人，使他們無論老少都眼目失明，以致他們找不到門。

求你從我身上除掉你所加的擊打；因你手的責打，我快要滅亡了。你因人的罪孽，就用責罰管教他，使他所喜愛的，像被蛀蟲吞蝕；所有世人也都虛空！細拉

所以怎麼樣呢？以色列人並沒有獲得他們所尋求的，蒙揀選的人卻獲得了，而其餘的人都成了剛硬的，正如經上所記：「神給了他們昏迷的心靈、看不見的眼睛、聽不見的耳朵，直到今天。」大衛也說：「讓他們的筵席成為網羅、陷阱、絆腳石，又成為他們的報應。讓他們的眼睛昏暗不能看。讓他們的腰背永遠彎曲。」

而是因為耶和華用沉睡的靈澆灌你們；他封閉了你們的眼睛，就是眾先知；他蒙住了你們的頭，就是眾先見。

阿納尼亞就去了。他進了那家，按手在掃羅身上，說：「掃羅弟兄，在你來的路上向你顯現的主耶穌差派我來，使你重見光明，並且被聖靈充滿。」

耶穌說：「我到這世上來是為了行審判，使看不見的能看見，使看得見的反而瞎了眼。」

他們把它轉移過去之後，耶和華的手臨到那城，引起極大的恐慌；他擊打那城的人，無論老少都長出了腫物。

弟兄們，我不願意你們不明白這奧祕，免得你們自以為聰明。這奧祕就是：以色列人中的部分人變得剛硬，直到外邦人的全數滿足了，

因為你的箭射入我身，你的手壓住了我。

掃羅從地上爬起來，睜開眼睛，卻什麼也看不見。他們牽著他的手，把他帶進大馬士革。他三天不能看見，不吃也不喝。

落在永生神的手中實在可怕。

這些人是無水的泉源，是被暴風吹逐的雲霧；有漆黑的幽暗為他們存留。
