突然发生了强烈的地震，结果监狱的地基都被摇动，所有的监门立刻打开了，每个囚犯的锁链也都松开了。

但在夜里，主的一位天使打开了监门，领他们出来，说：

人们用脚镣伤了他的脚，他的脖子被套进铁索；耶和华的言语熬炼他，直到他的话语应验。王派人把他解开，民众的管辖者将他释放；

他为那些受欺压的人伸冤，为那些饥饿的人赐下粮食；耶和华使被囚的人得解放；

求你留心听我的呼声，因为我极其衰微；求你解救我脱离追逼我的人，因为他们比我强大。求你把我的灵魂从被囚之地领出来，好让我称颂你的名；义人将环绕我，因为你恩待我。

耶和华的使者在敬畏耶和华的人四围扎营，搭救他们。

他把他们从黑暗和死荫里领出来，拉断他们的绳索。

哦，耶和华啊，我确实是你的仆人！我是你的仆人，是你女仆的儿子。你已经解开了我的绳索。

因为使一切成为明显的，就是光。所以有话说：“醒过来！睡着的人哪，从死人中起来吧！基督就要光照你了！”

“‘希西加啊，以下是给你的征兆：今年你们会吃自生的，第二年你们会吃自长的，而第三年你们将播种、收割，栽种葡萄园，吃其中的果实。

黎明时分，天使们催促罗得说：“起来！带着你的妻子和你在这里的两个女儿离开，免得你因这城的罪孽被一同除灭。”罗得还在犹豫，那两个人因耶和华怜恤罗得就抓住他的手，以及他妻子和两个女儿的手，把他们领出来，安置在城外面。

恶人窥伺义人，寻机置他于死地；但耶和华必不将他离弃在恶人的手中；在审判的时候，也不定他有罪。

锡安哪，起来，发出亮光！因为你的光已经来到，耶和华的荣耀已经在你上面升起。

神却解除了死亡的痛苦，使他复活，因为他本来就不能被死亡辖制。

当扫罗赶路，快到大马士革的时候，忽然有光从天上下来，四面照射他。

那时，尼布甲尼撒王感到惊奇，急忙站起来，开口问他的谋士们：“我们绑起来扔进烈火中的，难道不是三个人吗？”他们回答王，说：“王啊，是的！”王回应说：“看哪，我看到有四个人，并没有被绑着，在烈火中行走，身上也没有损伤，而那第四个人，他的样貌仿佛神子。”

我的神派遣他的使者封住了狮子的口，使它们没有伤害我，因为我在神面前是清白的；王啊，我在你面前也没有做过任何害人的事。”

要知道，我所归属、所事奉的神，他的一位天使昨天晚上站在我身边，说：‘保罗，不要怕！你必须站在凯撒面前。看哪，所有与你同船的人，神都赐给你了。’

希律要把彼得提出来审判的前一夜，彼得被两条铁链捆锁，睡在两个士兵中间，又有一些卫兵在监狱门前看守着。

难道所有的天使不都是服事的灵、奉差派服事那些将要继承救恩的人吗？

这些事以后，我看见另一位天使从天上降下来，他拥有大权；大地被他的荣光照亮了。

哥尼流说：“四天前的这个时候，下午三点，我在家里祷告。忽然有一个身穿明亮衣服的人，站在我面前，

这时候，主的一位天使站在他们旁边，主的荣光四面照射他们，他们就大为惊恐。

主的一位天使立刻击打希律，因为他没有把荣耀归给神。他被虫咬蚀，就断了气。

她们正为这件事心里困惑的时候，忽然有两个人，身穿闪闪发光的衣服，站在她们旁边。
