After Herod had a thorough search made for him and did not find him, he cross- examined the guards and ordered that they be executed. Then Herod went from Judea to Caesarea and stayed there.

So Herod had them look everywhere for Peter. But they didn’t find him. Then Herod questioned the guards closely. He ordered that they be put to death. Then Herod went from Judea to Caesarea and stayed there.

And after Herod searched for him and did not find him, he examined the sentries and ordered that they should be put to death. Then he went down from Judea to Caesarea and spent time there.

看監獄的一睡醒了，看見監門全開着，以為囚犯都逃脫了，就拔了刀，要自殺。

末底改仍回到御門那裏；哈曼卻急急忙忙地回家去，帶着悲哀的心情，又蒙着頭。

既將彼得逮住了，便放在監裏，交給每組四人的四組兵看守，有意思要在逾越節後把他提上來在民眾面前辦他。

祭司長就定意、連拉撒路也要殺害，因為有許多猶太人為了他的緣故去信耶穌。

腓利呢、卻在亞鎖都有人看見。他走遍所有的城市傳福音，直到該撒利亞。

他們回去以後，忽有主的一個使者向約瑟夢中顯現說：『起來，帶着小孩子和他母親，逃往埃及去，在那裏我吩咐你怎樣作；因為希律將要尋找小孩子來殺滅他。』

王所問的事很難答；除了不居於血肉之軀的神明、沒有別的能在王面前說出來的。』為了這個緣故、王就生氣，大大震怒，便吩咐將巴比倫所有的博士都除滅掉。於是有指令發出，要博士都被殺掉。人就尋找但以理和他的同伴，要給殺死。

那時兵丁主張要把監犯殺了，恐怕有浮水逃脫的；

惡人窺伺着義人，想法子要殺死他。永恆主卻不撇棄他於惡人手中，當審判時也不定他為惡。

王竟吩咐王子耶拉篾、亞次列的兒子西萊雅、和亞伯疊的兒子示利米雅去捉拿祕書巴錄和神言人耶利米；然而永恆主卻將他們隱藏着。

於是以色列王來到宮中，愁悶不樂往撒瑪利亞去。

她們去的時候，守衛隊中有人進城，將所經過的一切事都報告祭司長。祭司長同長老就聚集來商議，將好些銀子給士兵說：『你們要說：「他的門徒夜裏來，當我們睡着了以後，把他偷了去。」這事若在總督面前給聽見了，自有我們要說到他滿意，讓你們不用掛慮。』他們拿了銀子，照所受指使的去作。於是這事就在猶太人中間傳揚開了、直到今日。

希律見自己被占星家愚弄了，就極其惱怒，便差遣人將伯利恆裏面和全境界所有的男孩子，照他向占星家仔細查問得到的時候，從兩歲和以下的都殺掉了。

第二天我們出發，來到該撒利亞，進了傳福音者腓利家裏（他是七人中的一個），和他同住。

過了些日子、亞基帕王和百尼基抵達了該撒利亞，給非斯都請安。

大衛住在曠野山寨裏；他住在西弗曠野的山地。掃羅天天尋索大衛，上帝卻不將大衛交在他手裏。

希律將要把他提出來的前一夜，彼得睡在兩個兵當中，被兩條鎖鍊捆綁着；門前的守衛兵們又看守着監牢。
