After Herod had a thorough search made for him and did not find him, he cross- examined the guards and ordered that they be executed. Then Herod went from Judea to Caesarea and stayed there.

So Herod had them look everywhere for Peter. But they didn’t find him. Then Herod questioned the guards closely. He ordered that they be put to death. Then Herod went from Judea to Caesarea and stayed there.

And after Herod searched for him and did not find him, he examined the sentries and ordered that they should be put to death. Then he went down from Judea to Caesarea and spent time there.

狱吏醒过来，看见监门全开，以为囚犯都已经逃脱了，就拔出刀来想要自刎。

末底改仍回到御门那里；哈曼却急急忙忙回了家，带着悲哀的心蒙着头。

捉到了，就把他关在监里，交给四班士兵看守，每班四个人，打算过了逾越节，把他提出来交给民众。

于是祭司长想把拉撒路也杀掉，因为有许多犹太人为了拉撒路的缘故，离开他们，信了耶稣。

后来有人在亚锁都遇见腓利。他走遍各城，传讲福音，直到该撒利亚。

他们走了以后，主的使者在梦中向约瑟显现，说：“起来，带着孩子和他母亲逃到埃及去，留在那里，直到我再指示你，因为希律要寻找这孩子，把他杀掉。”

王所问的事很难答，除了那不和世人同住的神明以外，没有人能在王面前把这事说出来。”因此，王大发烈怒，下令杀绝巴比伦所有的智慧人。于是王的御旨发出，要把智慧人都杀死；人就寻找但以理和他的同伴，要杀死他们。

士兵想把囚犯都杀掉，免得有人游泳逃脱。

恶人窥伺义人，想要杀死他。耶和华必不把他撇弃在恶人的手中，在审判的时候，也不定他的罪。

更吩咐王子耶拉篾、亚次列的儿子西莱雅和亚伯叠的儿子示利米雅，去捉拿文士巴录和耶利米先知；但耶和华把他们隐藏起来。

于是以色列王闷闷不乐回到撒玛利亚，自己的王宫里去了。

她们去的时候，有些卫兵进了城，把一切所发生的事向祭司长报告。祭司长就和长老聚集在一起商量，然后拿许多钱给士兵，说：“你们要这样说：‘他的门徒晚上来了，趁我们睡着的时候，把他偷走了。’如果总督知道了这件事，我们会说服他，不会牵连你们。”士兵收了钱，就照着祭司长和长老的指使去作。这种说法直到今日还流传在犹太人当中。

希律见自己被星象家愚弄了，就大怒，于是照着他从星象家所问得的日子，下令把伯利恒和附近地方，两岁及以下的小孩全都杀死。

第二天我们离开那里，来到该撒利亚，到了传福音的腓利家里，与他住在一起。他是那七位执事中的一位。

过了一些日子，亚基帕王和百尼基到该撒利亚来，问候非斯都。

大卫住在旷野的山寨里，又住在西弗旷野的山里。扫罗天天寻索大卫，神却不把大卫交在他手里。

希律要提他出来的前一夜，彼得被两条锁链锁住，睡在两个士兵中间，还有卫兵守在门前。
