千夫长准了。保罗就站在台阶上，向百姓做了个手势，要他们静下来，保罗就用希伯来话对他们说：

犹太人把亚历山大推出去，人群中有人怂恿他，他就做手势，要向民众申诉。

他们讲完了，雅各回答说：“诸位弟兄，请听我说。

保罗就站起来，做个手势，说：“诸位以色列人和一切敬畏上帝的人，请听。

那些被认为是教会柱石的雅各、矶法、约翰知道上帝所赐给我的恩典，就跟我和巴拿巴握右手以示合作，同意我们往外邦人那里去，他们往受割礼的人那里去。

从雅各那里来的人未到以前，他和外邦人一同吃饭，及至他们来到，他因怕奉割礼的人就退出，跟外邦人疏远了。

第二天，保罗同我们去见雅各；所有的长老也都在场。

至于别的使徒，除了主的兄弟雅各，我都没有见过。

以后他显给雅各看，再显给众使徒看，

这些事以后，耶稣周游加利利，不愿在犹太往来，因为犹太人想要杀他。

到他出来，却不能和他们说话，他们就知道他在圣所里见了异象；他直向他们打手势，因为他成了哑巴。

二人出了监牢，往吕底亚家里去，见了弟兄们，劝慰他们一番，就离开了。

敬畏上帝的人哪，你们都来听！我要述说他为我所做的事。

我要在他的全体百姓面前向耶和华还我所许的愿。在耶和华眼中，圣民之死极为宝贵。

有人在这城迫害你们，就逃到另一城去。我实在告诉你们，以色列的城镇，你们还没有走遍，人子就要来临。

要垂听被囚之人的叹息，要释放将死的人，使人在锡安传扬耶和华的名，在耶路撒冷传扬赞美他的话，

所以，耶稣不再公开在犹太人中走动，却离开那里，往靠近旷野的乡间去，到了一座城，名叫以法莲，就在那里和门徒住下来。

西门‧彼得就对这个人示意，要问耶稣是指着谁说的。

于是他们拿石头要打他，耶稣却躲开，走出了圣殿。

上帝和主耶稣基督的仆人雅各问候散居在各处的十二个支派的人。

耶稣又往约旦河的东边去，到了约翰起初施洗的地方，就住在那里。

他为受欺压的伸冤，赐食物给饥饿的人。耶和华释放被囚的，

但愿人因耶和华的慈爱和他向人所做的奇事都称谢他。愿他们以感谢为祭献给他，欢呼述说他的作为！
