千夫长准许了他，保罗就站在台阶上，向民众作了一个手势。大家安静下来了，保罗就用希伯来语讲话，说：

犹太人把亚历山大推到前面，群众中有人把这事的因由告诉他。亚历山大作了一个手势，要向民众申辩。

他们讲完了，雅各说：“弟兄们，请听我说！

保罗就站起来，作了一个手势，说：“以色列人和敬畏神的人，请听！

又知道我蒙了神的恩，那几位被誉为柱石的雅各、矶法和约翰，就向我和巴拿巴伸出右手互相许诺，我们要到外族人那里去传福音，他们要到受割礼的人那里去传福音；

从雅各那里来的人还没有到以前，他和外族人一同吃饭；但他们来到了，他因为怕那些守割礼的人，就从外族人中退出来，和他们分开。

第二天，保罗和我们一同去见雅各，长老们也都在座。

至于其余的使徒，除了主的弟弟雅各以外，我都没有见过。

以后也向雅各显现，再后又向众使徒显现，

这事以后，耶稣周游加利利，不愿在犹太往来，因为犹太人想要杀他。

等到他出来，却不能讲话，竟成了哑巴，不断地向他们打手式，他们就知道他在圣殿里见了异象。

两人出了监，就到吕底亚的家里去，见了弟兄们，劝勉他们一番，就离开了。

所有敬畏神的人哪！你们都要来听，我要述说他为我所行的事。

我要在耶和华的众民面前，向他还我所许的愿。在耶和华的眼中看来，圣民的死极为宝贵。

如果有人在这城迫害你们，就逃到别的城去。我实在告诉你们，你们还没有走遍以色列的各城，人子就来到了。

为要垂听被囚的人的叹息，解救定了死罪的人；使人在锡安传扬耶和华的名，在耶路撒冷传扬赞美他的话。

因此，耶稣不再在犹太人中间公开活动，却离开那里，到旷野附近的地方去；到了一座名叫以法莲的城，就和门徒住在那里。

西门．彼得向他示意，叫他问耶稣是指着谁说的。

于是他们拿起石头要打他。耶稣却躲起来，从殿里出去了。

神和主耶稣基督的仆人雅各，向散居各地的十二支派问安。

耶稣又往约旦河东去，到约翰从前施洗的地方，住在那里。

他为受欺压的人伸冤，赐食物给饥饿的人，耶和华使被囚的得自由。

愿人因耶和华的慈爱，因他向世人所行的奇事称谢他。愿他们以感谢为祭献给他，欢欣地述说他的作为。
