千夫长答应了，保罗就站在台阶上向众人挥手示意，他们都安静下来，保罗用希伯来话对他们说：

这时，人群中的犹太人把亚历山大推到前面，请他解释。亚历山大举手示意大家安静，听他发言。

他们报告完了，雅各站起来说：“弟兄们，请听我说。

保罗站起来向大家挥手示意，说：“各位以色列同胞和各位敬畏上帝的外族朋友们，请听我说。

当时被誉为教会柱石的雅各、彼得和约翰明白了上帝赐给我的恩典之后，就与我和巴拿巴用右手行相交之礼，让我们向外族人传福音，他们向受割礼的人传福音。

从雅各那里来的人还没有抵达之前，彼得和外族的信徒一起吃饭。但那些人抵达以后，彼得因为怕那些坚持行割礼的犹太人批评，就与外族的信徒分开了。

第二天，保罗和我们去见雅各，众长老都在那里。

我也见了主耶稣的弟弟雅各，此外没有见过其他使徒。

随后，祂向雅各显现，又向众使徒显现；

之后，耶稣周游加利利，不愿去犹太地区，因为犹太人想要杀祂。

后来他出来了，却成了哑巴，不能说话，只能打手势，大家意识到他在圣殿里看见了异象。

二人离开监狱，来到吕底亚家中，见了弟兄姊妹，劝勉一番之后，便离开了那里。

敬畏上帝的人啊，你们都来听吧，我要告诉你们祂为我所做的事。

我要在耶和华的子民面前还我向祂许的愿。耶和华的眼目顾惜祂圣民的死亡。

如果你们在一个地方遭迫害，就避到另一个地方。我实在告诉你们，没等你们走遍以色列的城镇，人子就来了。

要垂听被囚之人的哀叹，释放被判死刑的人。这样，万族万国聚集、敬拜耶和华时，人们必在锡安传扬祂的名，在耶路撒冷赞美祂。

所以耶稣不再公开地在犹太人中间露面。祂离开伯大尼，前往靠近旷野的地方，到了以法莲城，就和门徒住下来。

于是，他们就拿起石头要打祂，耶稣却避开他们，离开了圣殿。

我是做上帝和主耶稣基督奴仆的雅各，问候散居各地的十二支派的人。

后来，耶稣到了约旦河东岸约翰从前施洗的地方，在那里住下来。

祂为受压制的人申冤，赐食物给饥饿的人，使被囚者得自由。

他们当称谢耶和华的慈爱，称谢祂为世人所行的奇事。他们当向祂献上感恩祭，欢然歌颂祂的作为。
