我亲爱的弟兄姊妹，请记住：每个人都要快快地听，慢慢地说，慢慢地动怒。

那时，你们虽然因为我生病而受累，却没有轻视我、嫌弃我，反而接待我，就像接待上帝的天使，接待基督耶稣一样。

哲士的心得知识，智者的耳求知识。

所以你们要除去所有的污秽和一切的恶习，谦卑地领受那已经栽种在你们心里、能救你们灵魂的真道。

所以，凡像这小孩子一样谦卑的人，在天国才是最伟大的。

使智者听了长学问，明哲听了得指引；

所以你们当知道，上帝的救恩已经传给了外族人，他们也必听。”

你们不要自欺。如果你们有人自以为在世上有智慧，他应当变成愚人，好成为真正的智者。

耶和华上帝感动犹大人，使他们一心遵从王与众官员奉祂的指示所下的命令。

因此，你们既然已经除去一切恶毒、欺诈、虚伪、嫉妒和毁谤，就要像初生的婴儿一样渴慕纯净的灵奶，好不断成长，直到完全得救。

我实在告诉你们，人若不像小孩子一样接受上帝的国，绝不能进去。”

对受教者而言，智者的责备犹如金耳环和金饰物。

但我们何必冒死，被这烈火吞噬呢？我们若再次听到我们的上帝耶和华的声音，必然丧命。世上有谁像我们一样听见永活上帝从火中说话后还能活着呢？你去听听我们上帝耶和华所说的话，然后回来告诉我们，我们必听从、遵行。’“耶和华听见了你们的话，就对我说，‘我听见了众人对你说的话，他们所说的都对。但愿他们常常敬畏我，遵从我的一切诫命，以便他们和他们的子孙世世代代可以蒙福。

教导智者，他就更有智慧；指教义人，他就更有见识。智慧始于敬畏耶和华，认识至圣者便是明智。

我们不住地感谢上帝，因为你们从我们这里听了上帝的道后就接受了，确信这不是人的道理，而是上帝的道。这道正在你们信的人心里发挥作用。
