有一天，约在申初，他在异象中明明看见神的一个使者进去，到他那里，说：“哥尼流。”

彼得就请他们进去，住了一宿。次日，起身和他们同去，还有约帕的几个弟兄同着他去；又次日，他们进入凯撒利亚，哥尼流已经请了他的亲属密友等候他们。

当他往上去，他们定睛望天的时候，忽然有两个人身穿白衣，站在旁边，说：

我说话，祷告，承认我的罪和本国之民以色列的罪，为我神的圣山，在耶和华我神面前恳求。我正祷告的时候，先前在异象中所见的那位加百列，奉命迅速飞来，约在献晚祭的时候，按手在我身上。

凡为以色列神言语战兢的，都因这被掳归回之人所犯的罪聚集到我这里来。我就惊惧忧闷而坐，直到献晚祭的时候。献晚祭的时候我起来，心中愁苦，穿着撕裂的衣袍，双膝跪下向耶和华我的神举手，

向他说话的天使去后，哥尼流叫了两个家人和常伺候他的一个虔诚兵来，把这事都述说给他们听，就打发他们往约帕去。第二天，他们行路将近那城。彼得约在午正，上房顶去祷告，

他的相貌如同闪电，衣服洁白如雪。

这月二十四日，以色列人聚集禁食，身穿麻衣，头蒙灰尘。以色列人就与一切外邦人离绝，站着承认自己的罪恶和列祖的罪孽。那日的四分之一站在自己的地方念耶和华他们神的律法书，又四分之一认罪，敬拜耶和华他们的神。

那少年人对她们说：“不要惊恐！你们寻找那钉十字架的拿撒勒人耶稣，他已经复活了，不在这里。请看安放他的地方。

申初祷告的时候，彼得、约翰上圣殿去。

正在猜疑之间，忽然有两个人站在旁边，衣服放光。
