有一天，大約下午三點鐘，他在異象中，清清楚楚看見神的一位天使來到他那裡，對他說：“哥尼流！”

彼得就請他們進去，留他們住下。第二天，彼得動身跟他們一同去，另有約帕的幾位弟兄同行。第三天，他們到了該撒利亞。哥尼流已經招聚了自己的親戚好友在恭候他們。

當他往上升，他們定睛望天的時候，忽然有兩個人，身穿白衣，站在他們旁邊，

我還在說話、禱告、承認我的罪和我同胞以色列人的罪，為我神的聖山，向耶和華我的神懇求的時候；我還在禱告說話的時候，我先前在異象中所見的那位樣貌像人的加百列，約在獻晚祭的時候，快速地飛（“快速地飛”原文意思難確定，或譯：“在精疲力竭時”）到我面前來。

所有因著以色列神針對被擄歸回的人之不忠、對他們所說的話而戰兢的人，都聚集到我面前。我驚懼地坐著，直到獻晚祭的時候。“獻晚祭的時候，我在禁食中起來，穿著撕裂了的衣服和外袍，雙膝跪下，向耶和華我的神張開雙手，

和他說話的天使走了之後，他就叫了兩個家僕和侍候他的一個虔誠的士兵來，把一切事向他們講明，然後派他們到約帕去。第二天，大約正午，他們走近那座城的時候，彼得上了房頂去禱告。

他的樣子好像閃電，衣服潔白如雪。

這月二十四日，以色列人聚集，一同禁食，身穿麻衣，頭上蒙灰。以色列的後裔跟所有外族人分離，然後站立，承認自己的罪過和他們列祖的罪孽。那天四分之一的時間，他們站在自己的地方，宣讀耶和華他們的神的律法書；另外四分之一的時間，他們認罪和敬拜耶和華他們的神。

那青年對她們說：“不要驚慌！你們尋找那釘十字架的拿撒勒人耶穌，他不在這裡，已經復活了；請看他們安放他的地方。

在下午三點禱告的時辰，彼得和約翰上聖殿去。

她們正為此事猜疑的時候，忽然有兩個人，穿著閃爍耀目的衣服，站在她們旁邊。
