Then they gathered around him and asked him,“ Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”

Then the apostles gathered around Jesus and asked him a question.“ Lord,” they said,“ are you going to give the kingdom back to Israel now?”

So when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him,“ Lord, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?”

So when they had come together, they asked him,“ Lord, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?”

So, when they had come together, they began asking Him, saying,“ Lord, is it at this time that You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?”

Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying,“ Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

They therefore, when they were come together, asked him, saying, Lord, dost thou at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?

So when they had come together, they asked Him,“ Lord, are You restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?”

When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

So when they had gathered together, they began to ask him,“ Lord, is this the time when you are restoring the kingdom to Israel?”

Therefore when they had come together, they asked him,“ Lord, are you now restoring the kingdom to Israel?”

As they heard these things, he proceeded to tell a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and because they supposed that the kingdom of God was to appear immediately.

Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them,“ The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed,

And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High; his kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.’

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying,“ Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

“ Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. And this is the name by which he will be called:‘ The Lord is our righteousness.’

And I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city.”

In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch to spring up for David, and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will dwell securely. And this is the name by which it will be called:‘ The Lord is our righteousness.’“ For thus says the Lord: David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel,

He answered,“ Elijah does come, and he will restore all things.

The Lord has taken away the judgments against you; he has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; you shall never again fear evil.On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:“ Fear not, O Zion; let not your hands grow weak.The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

“ My servant David shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd. They shall walk in my rules and be careful to obey my statutes.They shall dwell in the land that I gave to my servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children’s children shall dwell there forever, and David my servant shall be their prince forever.I will make a covenant of peace with them. It shall be an everlasting covenant with them. And I will set them in their land and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in their midst forevermore.My dwelling place shall be with them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

The Lord roars from Zion, and utters his voice from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth quake. But the Lord is a refuge to his people, a stronghold to the people of Israel.“ So you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who dwells in Zion, my holy mountain. And Jerusalem shall be holy, and strangers shall never again pass through it.“ And in that day the mountains shall drip sweet wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the streambeds of Judah shall flow with water; and a fountain shall come forth from the house of the Lord and water the Valley of Shittim.“ Egypt shall become a desolation and Edom a desolate wilderness, for the violence done to the people of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.But Judah shall be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem to all generations.I will avenge their blood, blood I have not avenged, for the Lord dwells in Zion.”

And he said to her,“ What do you want?” She said to him,“ Say that these two sons of mine are to sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your kingdom.”

then I will reject the offspring of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his offspring to rule over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will restore their fortunes and will have mercy on them.”

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

But in Mount Zion there shall be those who escape, and it shall be holy, and the house of Jacob shall possess their own possessions.The house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau stubble; they shall burn them and consume them, and there shall be no survivor for the house of Esau, for the Lord has spoken.Those of the Negeb shall possess Mount Esau, and those of the Shephelah shall possess the land of the Philistines; they shall possess the land of Ephraim and the land of Samaria, and Benjamin shall possess Gilead.The exiles of this host of the people of Israel shall possess the land of the Canaanites as far as Zarephath, and the exiles of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad shall possess the cities of the Negeb.Saviors shall go up to Mount Zion to rule Mount Esau, and the kingdom shall be the Lord’s.

But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.

The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until tribute comes to him; and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.

and I assign to you, as my Father assigned to me, a kingdom,

And he said to them,“ Elijah does come first to restore all things. And how is it written of the Son of Man that he should suffer many things and be treated with contempt?

When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus,“ Lord, what about this man?”

“ In that day I will raise up the booth of David that is fallen and repair its breaches, and raise up its ruins and rebuild it as in the days of old,

For the children of Israel shall dwell many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or pillar, without ephod or household gods.
