And when he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning to the body, he said, Tabitha, arise. And after these things he went forth, and beheld a publican, named Levi, sitting at the place of toll, and said unto him, Follow me.And he forsook all, and rose up and followed him.And Levi made him a great feast in his house: and there was a great multitude of publicans and of others that were sitting at meat with them.

And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them;

Now Peter and John were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.And a certain man that was lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the door of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked to receive an alms.And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him, with John, said, Look on us.And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something from them.But Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but what I have, that give I thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.And he took him by the right hand, and raised him up: and immediately his feet and his ankle- bones received strength.And leaping up, he stood, and began to walk; and he entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.And all the people saw him walking and praising God:and they took knowledge of him, that it was he that sat for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and see my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and put it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.Jesus saith unto him, Because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to hearken unto you rather than unto God, judge ye:

Now on the morrow, as they were on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour:and he became hungry, and desired to eat: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance;and he beholdeth the heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending, as it were a great sheet, let down by four corners upon the earth:wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts and creeping things of the earth and birds of the heaven.And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill and eat.But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common and unclean.And a voice came unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, make not thou common.And this was done thrice: and straightway the vessel was received up into heaven.Now while Peter was much perplexed in himself what the vision which he had seen might mean, behold, the men that were sent by Cornelius, having made inquiry for Simon’s house, stood before the gate,and called and asked whether Simon, who was surnamed Peter, were lodging there.And while Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.But arise, and get thee down, and go with them, nothing doubting: for I have sent them.And Peter went down to the men, and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?And they said, Cornelius a centurion, a righteous man and one that feareth God, and well reported of by all the nation of the Jews, was warned of God by a holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words from thee.So he called them in and lodged them. And on the morrow he arose and went forth with them, and certain of the brethren from Joppa accompanied him.And on the morrow they entered into Cæsarea. And Cornelius was waiting for them, having called together his kinsmen and his near friends.And when it came to pass that Peter entered, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.But Peter raised him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.And as he talked with him, he went in, and findeth many come together:and he said unto them, Ye yourselves know how it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to join himself or come unto one of another nation; and yet unto me hath God showed that I should not call any man common or unclean:wherefore also I came without gainsaying, when I was sent for. I ask therefore with what intent ye sent for me.And Cornelius said, Four days ago, until this hour, I was keeping the ninth hour of prayer in my house; and behold, a man stood before me in bright apparel,and saith, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.Send therefore to Joppa, and call unto thee Simon, who is surnamed Peter; he lodgeth in the house of Simon a tanner, by the sea side.Forthwith therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore we are all here present in the sight of God, to hear all things that have been commanded thee of the Lord.

Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore unto him, Art thou also one of his disciples? He denied, and said, I am not.One of the servants of the high priest, being a kinsman of him whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?Peter therefore denied again: and straightway the cock crew.

And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.And when he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. And those were the days of unleavened bread.

Now when the apostles that were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit:for as yet it was fallen upon none of them: only they had been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.Now when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money,saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay my hands, he may receive the Holy Spirit.But Peter said unto him, Thy silver perish with thee, because thou hast thought to obtain the gift of God with money.Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right before God.Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray the Lord, if perhaps the thought of thy heart shall be forgiven thee.For I see that thou art in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity.And Simon answered and said, Pray ye for me to the Lord, that none of the things which ye have spoken come upon me.They therefore, when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans.

and when they perceived the grace that was given unto me, James and Cephas and John, they who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship, that we should go unto the Gentiles, and they unto the circumcision;

these therefore came to Philip, who was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: Andrew cometh, and Philip, and they tell Jesus.

And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be greatly amazed, and sore troubled.

One of the two that heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.He findeth first his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messiah( which is, being interpreted, Christ).He brought him unto Jesus. Jesus looked upon him, and said, Thou art Simon the son of John: thou shalt be called Cephas( which is by interpretation, Peter).On the morrow he was minded to go forth into Galilee, and he findeth Philip: and Jesus saith unto him, Follow me.Now Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter.Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.And Nathanael said unto him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
