In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live according to the teaching you received from us.

Brothers and sisters, here is a command we give you. We give it in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Keep away from every believer who doesn’t want to work and makes trouble. Keep away from any believer who doesn’t live up to the teaching you received from us.

Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from any brother who is walking in idleness and not in accord with the tradition that you received from us.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, we give you this command in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ: Stay away from all believers who live idle lives and don’t follow the tradition they received from us.

Now we command you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from every brother or sister who is idle and does not live according to the tradition received from us.

Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother who walks in rebellion, and not after the tradition which they received from us.

弟兄们，我们劝你们：要劝诫懒散的人，安慰胆怯的人，扶助软弱的人，对所有的人都要恒久忍耐。

弟兄们，由此可见，你们当站立得稳；你们所领受的传统，无论是藉着我们的话语，还是藉着我们的书信，你们都要持守。

你们无论做什么，或在言语上或在行为上，都要奉主耶稣的名，藉着他感谢父神。

弟兄们，我劝你们，要留心那些针对你们所受的教导而制造分裂和绊脚石的人。你们要远离他们。

此外，弟兄们，我们在主耶稣里请求你们、劝勉你们：既然从我们学到了该怎样行事为人，怎样讨神的喜悦——就像你们也在行的——你们就要更加努力，

你们在任何事上饶恕了谁，我也饶恕谁；实际上，我如果饶恕了什么，我所饶恕的，就是在基督面前为了你们的缘故而饶恕的，

有敬神的外表，却否定敬神的实质；这样的人你要避开。

我在神、基督耶稣面前，就是将要审判活人、死人的那一位面前，藉着他的显现和他的国度郑重地劝诫你：

你们要谨慎，免得有人亏缺了神的恩典；免得有苦毒的根长起来搅扰你们，使许多人因此被污秽了；又免得有淫乱的，或像以扫那样不敬神的。以扫为了一点食物，就把自己长子的名份卖了；

你们要立定心志安静下来、做自己的事、亲手做工，正如我们曾经吩咐过你们的，

如果有人不顺从我们这信上的话语，你们就要记住这个人，不可与他交往，好让他感到羞愧；可是不要把他看为敌人，而要劝诫他，如同弟兄那样。

如果他不听他们的，就告诉教会；如果他连教会也不听，就应当把他看做像外邦人或税吏一样。

但如今我写给你们的是：如果有人被称为弟兄，却是淫乱的、或贪心的、或拜偶像的、或诽谤人的、或酗酒的、或勒索人的，你们不可与他交往，连与这样的人一起吃饭都不可。其实审判外面的人，到底与我有什么关系呢？你们难道不该审判里面的人吗？至于外面的人，神会审判他们；而“你们应当把那邪恶的人从你们里面除去。”

所以，我这样说，并且在主里忠告：你们行事不要再像外邦人那样，在自己虚妄的理性中行事；

我称赞你们，因为你们在一切事上都记念我，并且照着我所传给你们的来持守传统。

我在那赐生命给万物的神面前，并在那曾经向本丢彼拉多见证了美好告白的基督耶稣面前吩咐你：要毫无玷污、无可指责地遵守这命令，直到我们主耶稣基督的显现。

我在神、基督耶稣，和蒙拣选的天使面前郑重地劝诫你：遵守这些话要毫无成见，做任何事都不要偏心。

他在那些理性败坏、丧失真理、以为敬神是得利之道的人中，引发无休止的争吵。
